Enjoying a great '14th placed' Palace? Looking like if we have a great preseason we'll finish top six? My prediction: look forward to another 'do nothing' preseason from Parish & Co. We'll probably lose a whole bunch of stars for BIG MONEY for Parish, then we will wait, and wait, and wait, all season in the transfer window for something to happen, and I predict that IT WON'T. If Parish thinks he can survive another season without spending I believe he will, based on the last 11 years. Remember the last few games of last season? I hope I'm proved wrong, but I'm saying this in advance of it happening. As I write it's 2-0 against UTD - half time.

you again

I’m gonna focus on the thread’s headline not the OP’s miserable post…

We have to sell one player at least. I think it’s Guéhi for sure. Perhaps Olise- though after that hug he gave Glasner…he barely celebrated his goals before! I think he’s great but we have to keep Eze. And to think I wasn’t sure this new shape wouldn’t get the best out of him.

I have hopes we can get a European spot if we only lose a couple.of players and not Eze. Lose him we will be comfortable mid table but won’t have enough magic to unlock better defences.

Don't be too harsh on him, there are many of us Palace fans who will always look for a cloud in a silver lining.

First of all fantastic performance last night and very optimistic for next year. But kind of understand some negative comments on here regarding the future .In my 50 or so years following palace we have in my opinion had 2 great opportunities to push on .The team of the eighties and when we had Wright & .bright.We didn't and sold the potential. We have arrived at another pivotal time .We can afford to sell one or maybe 2 players hopefully not ?but if needed we have to reinvest all the money in the squad and push on to next level ie Europe

Good point about Olise's celebration - he genuinely seemed delighted and the manager's reaction when he got taken out by Amrabat was good to see.
Whatever OG is doing it's been quite remarkable how he's getting so much more out of the players who looked pretty ordinary at best before he arrived. The shape, tactics, fitness and team spirit are all so much better that it feels a bit unreal in such a short time.
Of course there will be bumps in the road but compared to the rutted track we've been trundling down for so long the future looks bright.

Palace need to broaden the squad for next season and retain as many of the quality players as they can.

Does anyone who genuinely knows about these things know I'd we will HAVE to sell this summer to avoid an FFP breach?

Because if we don't, this would seem a great time for Josh Harris to drop some big cash into the club. Three good players in the right positions, 28 games each for Oleze, and we would fly. Just fly.

Keeping our stars might be possible in that eventuality.

FFP is for clubs playing in European comps, the English leagues have PSR which is what Everton(twice) & Forest have been charged under. I believe that next season there will be an entirely new system in place, to be decided & ratified at the EPL/EFL general meetings in June, What it's going to be is anyone's guess, but, it'll sure benefit the top clubs, you can be sure of that.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

They have already agreed that next season will be the same as this one. The changes will be for the season after that.

Not felt this enthusiastic about the next season for a very very long time!! The thing is in the past we all looked to the transfer window for a solution but the next one IMO is keep as many as we can and only top up what is needed. Last night Hughes and Wharton were just fantastic and looked very capable , Munoz is a revelation as well. Have you ever seen Clyne play like that and then we replace him with an England international wow wow
