Align with most sentiments shared so far. Lerma has proved an astounding signing (free), Mateta has really broken through to establish himself as first choice striker, constantly improving, and I think Andersen has been consistent and committed at the back. It's a funny old season where perhaps our two most influential players have had long spells out, last POTY has been out, GK and our star CB has been out and the pre/early-Glasner spell had been dismal. We've also made two fantastic signings mid-season. After WHU and Liverpool, you could add another handful of players into the mix.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

The problem is that under Roy we were largely awful bar a few performances, so it's only been in recent times that anyone has stood out. Nonetheless, for me it has to be Mateta. A goal or an assist every 137 minutes across all competitions. Since he came on against Liverpool in December and scored in our 1-2 defeat he has just got better and better. Such a great character too.

It is a tough one. Up until recently I would have said Ayew. But he has been a bit part player recently. So its Anderson for me. Agree

JPM for me. Anderson IMO was quite poor for the middle of the season, and has only really started performing in the last 5. Eze has had flashes of brilliance, but quite a bit of dross. JPM didnt play much in the first half of the season, but since he's been playing he's been great.

With Roy in charge it was Ayew , Lerma and Johnstone that were our stand out players Since the change of manager and team shape all the players look happier and have improved some more than others . So what is player of the season ? Before the 1st February 6 months into the season or since Glasner which is what 3 months? Some seem to be judging it on the last two games which isn't really what player of the season is .

Quality rather than quantity so Michael Olise IMO despite fourteen appearances. Agree that Mateta and Lerma have been decent though.

Andersen for me. Brilliant defender and has held our backline together even when everyone around him has been injured and he deserves to be recognised for that. Of course Olise and Eze have been outstanding when fit and Mateta has turned it on since Glasner came in but I really think if Andersen had got injured we'd be in trouble right now. Lerma probably second for similar reasons.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Voting is now open for this I have gone for lerma but I am sure recency bias from this week will mean Mateta gets a lot of votes

Andersen for me also. He has the additional attributes I hope to see in a Palace player. Passionate, has guile and he's not afraid of putting up a fight or doing the dirty work when needed. I also think he will be a brilliant captain if he stays at Palace.
