This will be about:
- who's recovered sufficiently from yesterday
- how well we manage Newcastle's press and their overloads down the wings (which overwhelmed us at St James's Park).

I'd love another win as we all would but I think we will do well to get a draw (2-2). I'd be happy with that - we don't do 3 wins in a row often.

All sensible comments.

Following Anfield and yesterday, a draw on Weds. would be a continuation of fine form for me and more than satisfying. We are of course capable of all 3 however. COYP

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Still positive and especially after yesterdays match and I can see us grabbing the point which we need to stay up.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I’ll go for a Desmond 2-2 and the point we need, then we can get the flip flops out

It's all about philosophy. OG is a winner whereas RH was a don't loser. So pleased to shut up (for now) all the doomsters and manic depressives. It's been clear for some time what OG is trying to build and there will be disappointments along the way. Confidence is sky high which is a massive boost for any team. Yes, one day's training and one day's rest aint much, and,no, we can't put out our best eleven, but hopefully next season we'll have more strength in depth. So many variables as to the result, ie injuries, who is rested and tested. Minimum draw would be nice but frankly I don't really care as long as we play well. So encouraging that (some of us) are talking Europe next year (ie other than for a short mid-season break).

Let’s not forget…. This is a midweek match, I don’t remember winning to many evening matches in the past. Let’s hope a change in management and performance.

4-1, Matate 2, Olise and Eze. they have 24 goals, and 13 assists between them, not bad for an injury hit season.

Im just enjoying the ride and glad to see some smiles around the place both on the pitch and in the stands .

Hope we can continue the winning streak to 3 against a team thats beatable but one we seem to struggle against . A draw wouldn't be a disaster

1-0

In the stands a great deal of beatific smiles, some displaying white-toothed happiness some unfortunately requiring a trip to the bleachers.

For a few years we always seemed to win 5 on the trot. Lets hope we can revive that tradition!!!!

I can recall 4 in a row under Hodgson before the Covid lockdown. When was the last time we did 5 in the PL?
