I wonder if we already have the replacement in Franca who seems to have been forgotten about since his injury. Has he appeared under Glasner? Where is he now? What and how bad is his injury? If Glasner and his team can produce the kind of transformations in some players that we have seen what might we see with Franca? He is only just 20. New cultures always take time to adjust to. You could already sense more confidence and maturity growing before the injury. Next year could be a breakthrough for him. Franca has an unspecified groin injury. He's trained but apparently gets pain when the intensity of his training increases. He has no return date specified.

Have to hope that Oliver Glasner is well on the way to convincing all those we would wish to stay that a full 2024/2025 season at CPFC is best for their careers. Losing some of the older players will create the space needed for Academy Graduates. COYP

Plenty are out on loan and not setting the world alight.

There was a survey in 2019 that found the figure for success to be 0.012% only 180 of the 1.5m boys playing organised youth football in England will ever play a single minute in the Premier League.

There was an article about the England U15 squad from about 10-15 years ago. At the time they were highly rated. None of them went onto to become star players, some were regulars at lower league levels and a couple were squad players for small PL teams, the rest disappeared. It just shows how the so called best of a generation couldn't even produce one decent PL player. I still think were will only ever produce the occasional player from the Academy, it will be a bonus nothing more .

I hope you're right Olise may decide to stay another year to rebuild his match fitness after a torrid season of injuries. He prefers Man U to Liverpool but a successful season under Glasner will open the door to Europe’s best teams. Would he prefer the sunny climes of Madrid, Barcelona or the excitement of Paris, London to the grim north of Manchester?

Don't forget that about this time last year Olise had already made avocal settlement and was ready to sign for Chelski(many respectable? journalists were dead certain for the deal). Olise has shown that he does have a brain in his head, so lets not be too much in a hurry for developments. If his health is in a good level , it is certain that top clubs here and in Europe will be in a race for his signature, as such a talent is rare nowadays. Question is how will he deal with it.

Ozoh, Devenny, Imray, Raymond, Mathurin, Umeh-Chibueze and Wells-Morrison are all there and all playing (or recently played) U21. All of them can fill, and some have filled, the bench; and some (or even all?) of them could play a key role next season. None of them are CB, LB and only one striker. But that's still 7 players we don't have to buy, other than Rak Sakyi.

An England U15 who is at Arsenal, Man City or (dare I now say) us, has a much greater chance of fulfilling potential than one in the Plymouth reserves, or who suffers long term injury (we have one of those) or who is "Bostocked" by a bigger club.

The pre-season will be key for all these youngsters as it will determine who gets sent out on loan and who is thought ready to be given a chance in the first team. I don't see any of them apart from Ozoh (if he isn't sent out on loan to a CHampionship team) and possibly Imray, getting any PL time next season.
