Indeed they did and I believe Jan Molby was the manager when they were promoted from the Conference. I googled it actually, I couldn’t believe it was 25 years ago, they got as high as division 3, I thought it was much more recent

But that's just off the top of my head. Had a lot of money troubles over the years - not sure why that sounds familiar. Heard they're quite solid financially presently but we've heard that somewhere before too.

I think Phil Brown is the manager at the moment and looks to be saving their National League skin. How the mighty fall. Remember the Hull half time team talk in the middle of the Selhurst Park pitch?

I introduced the subject of Kidderminster Harriers last night following on from mention of the club on this discussion.

I have booked a table for ten in the Exec Lounge for the Bromley v Solihull Moors game on April 13th. Back to where it all started football wise for me. Really looking forward to it.

My first visit to Bromley was November 1963 v Sutton Utd and a 2-4 defeat. I remember it starting to sleet/snow in the 2nd half. No executive lounge back then though! Haha that’s what I was thinking, I started going back in the 70’s, but as recently as the 2000’s you wouldn’t have got an executive lounge, just a cup of Luke warm tea and a burnt sausage roll from an old shed!! Actually to be honest I’ve still managed to get that this season

Beat Reading if I remember right The previous time they beat Birmingham away - which was pretty much almost a derby. One of the scorers was signed by them for a mil or so - Forsyth. Don't think he ever did much except be a solid pro. Paul Jones was the keeper - he went to Southampton and was Wales goalie. One of the best I've seen in the flesh. The best player I ever saw for them was Kim Casey. He owned a business and was happy with semi-pro. He could have played any level. The closest Palace player I can think of is Swindlehurst. Kim Casey had more goals than games played - he was unreal. And they weren't tap ins - he'd stroll through everyone from the kick off and score. He got 73 goals in a season but wasn't like Bull or even Wright - more silky, not pacey or physical, I suppose played very much like Dalglish.

I have been trying to recall some of those who 'Ploughed their furrows' for Bromley back in the days when I used to make sporadic visits to Hayes Lane. Curtis Hayes (Goalkeeper), Phil Emblen, Butch Dunn, Bernie Merron, I recall the clubhouse situated next to the stand.

I only used to follow the mighty Palace. My brother was telling me about having half time tea and cake with the players at Bromley. Clearly some time ago.
