Hopefully, from the way she described her diagnosis in the statement, it was found as a side problem to the one for which she had the abdominal surgery. This may well mean that it has been caught early, and the 'preventative chemotherapy' would seem to bear this out. Having seen so much speculation, and some of it pretty unpleasant at that, all over the press & social media, maybe now they will step back and leave her and the family to complete her treatment and healing in peace. Cancer & it's treatment is traumatic enough - as so many of us on here will be only too aware - but one thing is for sure; not all the money in the world can make any difference when it's you or your family hit with this.

Awful news, although not too surprising in view of the way her medical condition had been kept under wraps. I hope all those folk who criticized her family Mothers Day photo now feel mortified that they created such painful, hurtful comments over a relatively trivial matter. All of us who have had to deal with treatment for Cancer understand entirely the issues Kate is dealing with and her bravery in broadcasting that video is extraordinary. Dear Kate, we all wish you a heartfelt message of support and sincerely hope you stay strong and make a full recovery from the illness that has struck you so unfairly at such a young age. God bless. I wholeheartedly echo these sentiments.

Hypocrites. But none of that is Kate's fault, and yes, I too feel sympathy for the young woman. I just wish people wouldn't parade their sympathy.

That's a good point but I suspect in this case that many people empathise having had some experience of this disease themselves.

It seems quite moving and poignant. It seems a real shame. I just truly hope Kate makes a full recovery and goes on to reign with William at some stage.

She's very young and it's a young family so it's awful news where you can only hope for and wish them the best possible outcome. Whether you cheer the Royal Family or despise the institution inside and out, or something between the two, should be a separate matter.
