our most important ?

difficult to say. Some past heroes are looking tired, old and broken.

Maybe we must cherish.....
Ayew
Hughes

Mateta
Eze/Olise......certainly got the killer Eagle brain, so long as the fitness is ok.

Looking at the statistics, our weakness is in not scoring enough goals. Looking at the table below, only 3 teams have scored less goals than us.

And two of those teams are Anchors hurtling to the bottom of the Championship Ocean.

It is my uninformed opinion, that we have a weakness in mid-field. Not enough assists. Too slow on the counter-attack. Lacking that killer instinct. Uninformed, what would i know. But the statistics do not lie. Also, set pieces....diabolical.

Weakness in midfield - amen to that. Eze for all his talent is not a holding midfielder. Find a Ben Watson/Barry Bannon type and we will get more scoring opportunities. Does anyone not understand why all the strikers we've had since Murray have failed? Mateta and Edouard would be potent if they got the right through balls

Man and boy Palace since my first game in 1948 sitting on my dad's shoulders

Call him. Honestly we moan about letting in these last minute goals but our inability to hit a 192 sq. ft target is scandalous. It’s their job ffs.

Think we missing Decoure and Olise both a great deal - maybe more than we did Eze.
Will be great to see all four playing together again though!

Unlikely to ever happen.

The pressure builds when we don’t finish teams off when we’re in front and the inevitable happens, obviously yesterday was a prime example, if we were 2 or 3-0 up as we should’ve been then the late goal doesn’t matter.

For me it is:
Eze
Olise
Doucoure
Andersen

Eze pips Olise because in my view he is better at getting us some controlled possession of the ball, but they are 1 and 2 because our best chance of winning is having both in the team regardless of who else is playing. We have been so much more defensively vulnerable since Doucoure was injured, so whilst he isn't spectacular, his influence is great. Having said that, I think Lerma and Wharton are doing well (I really like Lerma for his fantastic work-rate and competitiveness, and think he is under-appreciated by the Palace fans) to cover for him now. The 4th position is a tough one, but I am a big Andersen admirer, and think he brings slightly more than Guehi, but in fairness I think Richards can step in very effectively now. Munoz promising but early days and he may be defensively suspect.

Under Glasner, it will increasingly become about the team and my order is based on my view of the importance of a player's contribution to the team on a consistent basis.

1= Doucoure - He was our player of the year last season for a reason and his absence for most of this season has shown just how poor we are in midfield without him

1= Olise - The assist king of last season has added impressive goal scoring in the few games he's featured in this season He's still lour joint top scorer in the league this season! 6 goals and 3 assists in 11 games tells the story.

3 Johnstone - gives the defence confidence. Always ready to receive the ball if a defender or midfielder is under pressure. Distribution is generally good

4. Eze - Top scorer last season and scoring well again this season. Has that wonderful balance and can do the unexpected. However, he loses the ball too often and can slow the game down to our disadvantage - hence why he's not up with Doucoure and Olise in my estimation.

Olise
Ayew
Eze
Anderson

Olise makes the right hand side of the pitch so much more of a threat and in turn free's up Ayew to play on the left side. He makes Eze better, is a proper goal threat in terms of assists and goals. He is also up and down the pitch so provides defensive cover.
Ayew get's my vote above Eze as he performs week in week out. Draw's fouls is a goal theat but defensively he works hard and provides cover to whoever is playing at right back.
Eze gets in due to his finishing and all round skill. He provides a proper goal threat. He is getting better at the defensive side of his game and once he improves he will jump ahead of Ayew.
Anderson makes the odd mistake but they are still pretty rare. His distribution and general awareness and football ability make him the most important defender in our backline.
I feel despite a few shaky games Henderson is at least the equal of Johnstone in goal which mean's he is not going to be missed as much as other players.
