I noticed two Brighton fans got stabbed. I know it's Brighton but I still felt somewhat sorry for them. I'm not sure I fancy that.
It's one of the issues - English fans are apparently the hooligans whilst other fans do all of the stabbing and killing.

Does't sound like they were too bright ,out in the middle of Rome at 12.30 am . The tradition of 'Puncicate' a stab in the buttocks is about hurting your rivals not killing them .
The Roman lads would have been out and about looking for victims

That's my take too. I would love to see Palace qualify for Europe in my lifetime. You look at how much clubs in the top 10 have spent versus what we spend and it is a huge ask, but if a small club like BHA can do it, why not us.

You must be old enough to remember the Inter Toto Cup - that was played in some of the most obscure parts of (outer) Europe that anyone could imagine..... and some Palace fans still made it there!

I totally understand. However, imagine English fans did it and what the reaction to that would be.
In other words, go abroad to Europe and you're a target and there won't be many looking out for you - in fact the exact opposite when it comes to the police. 12.30 is early in Italy. They don't do last orders.

I just want to qualify, see a couple of games of competitive European football at selhurst against teams I’ve at least heard of, Eintract Frankfurt would be excellent at the moment, and I’ll be happy.

As for whether they’re competitions that are worthwhile anymore, ask West Ham fans, I think I know the answer

Nah not worth it, just save ourselves for Champions League football shall we?

In all seriousness, we haven't played in Europe in our history, aren't going to finish in the top four or win the league so if we're not aiming to get into a lower European competition, what is the point of our existence?

Yes it's worth it.

People are only looking at the money received from the competition yet forgetting those extra games generate more for the club in many other ways.

It helps global brand of a club and reputation also will allow appeal to other players.

Another trophy could win as well.

I would rather win one of these over domestic cups.
