Jeffrey Schlupp? What a peculiar name for a man, but you know what? I think I like it.

Not if you're german.

There would appear to be an issue involving Schlupp as suggested in the OP.

However, it is a shame that it has become fashionable to find fault with one of our players who, as far as I'm concerned has made a reasonable contribution to CPFC during his time with us.

Whatever the reason for the apparent news blackout, I sincerely hope Jeffrey Schlupp is OK and that some positive information will soon be forthcoming.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Agree with those above saying that, for the rest of the season, he should be the competition for Mitchell.

I think Schlupp has been a solid and functional servant over the years but, with his contract up in the summer, I think it's probably time to say goodbye.

At the absolute most, he should be no more than a squad option next season.

If we're going to progress we need a better overall squad so the quality doesn't drop as drastically when there's injuries.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Much as I like Scluppie, I reckon the only available spot for him moving forwards is left wing back. But for next season we really need an upgrade in that position. Doesn't look like Mitchell gets it......yet.

i think he had time off earlier in the season when a family member (maybe his dad) was either very ill or had died.

Everybody reacts to these issues differently. I am sure the club is giving him the time required to get back on his feet. In life some things are more important than work/football.

Yeah definitely. Seems like he has a one year option in his contract so I reckon it depends if we have the funds to bring in a new high class LWB. If not maybe he'll get signed up for one last year. Do hope not though.

Serious question but has anyone seen him play at left wing back? A number of posters are suggesting that he will be better than Mitchel just wondering if this is based on anything?

Bill Shankly would be turning in his grave!

Bloody hell, it seems I’ve been stitched up all these years, I didn’t realise we should be getting paid to watch this s***

As for schlupp, never been a great fan, but since we’ve switched to three at the back, I could see him doing well at wing back, he might be a bit more of a threat going forward than Mitchell

Personally I'd stick him straight in ahead of Mitchell at LWB as soon as he's available.

Mitchell is an ok left back in flat back four but woeful as a wing back I'm sorry to say. I wouldn't be surprised if we offloaded him in summer because he doesn't suit Glasner's style. So poor in possession and incapable of keeping possession.

Mitchell is good in the tackle and quick, but cannot pass or cross a ball for toffee.
