IMO i think a club will stump up the 60m for Olise and Guehi will go for about 80+, so a few players needed, i would loan out Hendersen for a season, and loan an adequate replacement, he needs to play but not for us, even without Olise and Guehi it leaves a decent starting 11 for next season before 3 or 4 are added:

+++++++++++++Johnstone++++++++++++
++++Ward+++Andersen+++Richards++++
Munoz++Doucoure++Wharton++Mitchell
+++++++++Eze+++++++Franca+++++++++
+++++++++++++Mateta+++++++++++++++

Ayew, Edouard Ozah, Lerma, Amahada, Rak-Sakyi, Phillips, Holding, Rodney, Imray

Needed, LWB, CD, CAM, CF, maybe?

With the greatest of respect, I do not envisage any clubs willing to pay £80 Mill+ for Guehi.
He is simply not worth that amount of money, far from it.

What I think will be interesting is when all injuried players are back, were will they play?

If Glasner sticks with (for me a 3-4-3)

Start with the easy Guehi in for Ward (even though been solid last two games)

But do you drop Ayew for Olise? Or one of Lerma or Wharton for Doucoure.

Where does Eze fit into the system?

Just look at the players out of contract as well at the end of the season

Hughes, Schlupp, Riedewald, Clyne, Ward, Ferguson, Tomkins, I would not keep any of them. Now does that change who we let go in the summer.

Now if Olise has a clause and its activated well there isn't much we can do, if Guehi doesn't sign a new deal then again in the summer we have to let him if a proper offer comes in, Doucoure again if a big offer comes in.

Will Glasner risk the youth and find a gem? Who knows, its will be a long and interesting summer. Never boring being a Palace fan

Yes you drop Ayew for Olise. When fit the latter has contributed as high a rate of goal contributions as about anyone in the league

Eze replaces Eduardo as the left-sided player behind Mateta.

Assuming Wharton develops he partners Doucoure. Lerma played well yesterday but that was his best for a while

Assuming they keep three at the back, I would keep Ward as we need numbers - especially if Guehi leaves. There are no standout central defenders in reserve but Raymond could be the Munoz backup, Hughes is the only other I would consider but even then he should only be on the subs bench when we have injuries -unless the new medical staff work a miracle with Ferguson

Tbh. I would start ayes up front instead of mateta/edourd
He holds up the ball well can attack and pop up in places you don’t expect him to be in

He will because, 1 he is English, 2 4/5 major clubs want him, 3 Maguire

I dont doubt several clubs will look at MG - However, in terms of getting big money for him, against him remains the issue of his height - Marc is just 6ft tall - which doesn't help give us an extra edge when defending crosses -

The big money central defenders have that extra height -
Harry Maguire is 6ft 4 -
VVD is 6ft 5

A lot of fans would define Eze and Guehi as key players.
On the assumption that they are both fit to return next week, it will be interesting to see what Glasner does.
Is he a manager who works on the principle that you don't change a winning team?
Glasner is still new to us and is still familiarising himself with the squad so we shall have to see.
Personally I would bring them both back, but it's difficult e.g for Ward/Richards who have both done well.

I really do not envisage Glasner dropping Richards.

I can see it happening & for the team its probably the best solution, but I do feel it would be a shame as Richards seems to be gaining confidence & with it contributes more each game -

I hope you are not comparing VVD with Maguire, Guehi might be only six foot, but he doesn't have the pace of a Morris Minor or the intellectual capacity of a Cucumber

He might also have a different view of substitutes and squad rotation to try and keep players fresher.
It seems odd that we've gone from not having enough cover to almost too many players to accommodate.
