I don't know about your guys but I'm expecting nothing short of an invasion of Poland.

Aside from seeing some different tactics I am just hoping we cut out some of the errors. Cutting down on conceding from set plays and actually scoring from the odd corner for example. Also got to reduce the very bad habit of conceding very early and very late in games. Just doing that alone would keep us above the bottom three, even without Eze and Olise.

My expectations are really simple, just keep us up. This will be no mean achievement given our injury list and what we have available for selection!

Be wary of small Austrians with a sense of destiny, that's all I say.

I'd like to be 1-0 up against Burnley and pushing for a 2nd.

Rather than rolling over and inviting them to have a go.

What I hope is that we work on defending set pieces better and avoiding the tiredness that results in conceding late goals so often.

The introduction of Ward into the centre of the defence worked and I think will continue. His experience, never say die attitude, constant blocking and organisation could be vital.

So no revolutions. Just tweaks and determination.

European qualification by the end of the season. Anything less and I'll be rolling out my Roy IN banner.

Just to get us moving the ball around a bit quicker and get us on the front foot, get us fitter so we don’t let in so many late goals and teach us how to defend at corners, oh and how to be dangerous at corners ourselves…….i say ‘just’ he’s got a lot in really

My realistic expectation boils down to one thing - keeping Palace in the Premier League.

All the bells and whistles can come later, that has to be the priority.

Basically this. otherwise we can say goodbye to our star players and find ourselves having to start a rebuild in the Championship.

The early and set piece goals are frustrating and are probably down to concentration and/or organisation which you'd think Roy and Ray would have improved on. Late goals would be helped by more timely substitutions and if the bench isn't up to it then clear them out and either replace them or try some of the youngsters.
One player I've seen touted as prospering in the new set up is Ahamada - not entirely sure why on current evidence but maybe they're right.

Basics:
Fitness. Be prepared to play for 105 minutes.
Possession. Don’t lose it stupidly, at throw ins for example.
Cut down on the p1ss poor passing.
Tactics: Don’t park the bus at 1-0.

This is schoolboy stuff.

More technical: investigate reasons for so many hamstrings going. Can the training be adjusted to improve it.

If OG could do the above and add his own magic, Euros here we come.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.
