What you mean like the Arfur. Arfur who? ARTHUR WAITE. That's who. One thing guaranteed. If that new stand ever get built Selhurst will be the most lopsided ground in the premier. I guess I should have anticipated that, but I'm sure there are plenty who have little or no understanding of who Mr Waite was or what he did for our club. I agree though, unless something is done to that side of the ground (where I used to walk from one end to the other at half time), Selhurst will be a stadium of two halves.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

I thought (from a wholly impartial perspective) maybe the Silvertop Stand. Paint the whole roof silver and we can nickname the ground the "Spaceship". See, I do have some good ideas.

I'd suggest calling it the 'Stand up if you hate Millwall... stand' but I feel as though we've risen above that rivalry now Perhaps the 'Neil Morrissey Stand', for his bringing of the great beer festival to Selhurst Park? Ironically, he wasn't able to stand at the end of the inaugural one!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

The Jordan envy stand
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

A difficult one. I certainly don't think it should be named after any players, nor managers come to that. Also I am not keen on stands or stadiums being named after commercial sponsors, but I can see why it happens. These are all a bit ephemeral ( a bit like that white elephant mural of Wilf on the house on Holmesdale Road) I think if an individual has invested a lot of personal wealth into the building of a stand e.g. Arthur Wait, the there is justification for it being named after them. Otherwise I'd keep it simple - wait for it - The Main Stand
