As one of Roy’s biggest supporters I too wish Roy all the best in his recovery and hope he can now retire in the knowledge that he has had an outstanding career acknowledged by the whole football world as one of the best managers and person in the industry. COYP

Football takes a back seat to people's health and I wish Roy the speediest of recoveries and back to full strength asap.

The trouble with computers, of course, is that they're very sophisticated idiots

Hands up I’ve been one of Roy’s fiercest critics..

But health and wellbeing transcends anything related to football and in our case Palace..!!

At this point in time our current Manager who is 76 years of age is in hospital, after being taken unwell at training - that is all that matters. All we want is for Roy is that it is nothing serious and that he his up around soon..!!

Get well soon Roy - all our thoughts and thoughts and best wishes are with you and the family..!!

Great post Plaistow - views clearly shared by a great number of Palace fans.

Very well said.

I've never commented on any player or manager, neither would I.

But I am as frustrated as anybody about performances, but I am aware that Roy's hand held was dealt could have been rather better.

No matter, I want Roy to get back to normality as quickly as possible. He's a decent bloke and deserves a quality life.

I wish him a speedy recovery.

Extremely sad news and wishing Roy a speedy recovery.
It would be fantastic for the team to play out of their skins and achieve a rare win at Everton for Roy.
That for certain would be very welcome!!

I hope he recovers and goes on to live a long and happy retirement. Thank you for your service and please come back and say goodbye.

We definitely need to see Roy back a Selhurst Park when he is fully recovered. Which I sincerely hope is sooner rather than later, in whatever capacity.

Sometimes events and timings can conspire against even the best laid plans. There are lots of unknowns here, but the sooner we can all learn from the man himself that Roy is back up and healthy the better.

As others have said, he deserves a heartfelt send off at Selhurst Park as a local, boyhood supporter, fellow fan and manager.
