Prior to yesterday's game, Burnley had scored in their previous 5 Away games in the PL, at Man C,Liverpool, A.Villa, Burnley and Brighton. They drew at Brighton and beat Fulham.

It not requiring a miracle to keep them up. But rather a series of three or four miracles. Notwithstanding the possibility of them scoring against us within the first three minutes of the game. Burnley, back to the Championship. Gone Any sane person would agree that Burnley are down, but being human whilst it isn't a mathematical certainty we will look over our shoulder. I vaguely remember Palace in the Premiership/Division one ,we were eight points in front of Oldham and both sides had three matches to play,we were bitten in the posterior.

thank you Burnley for keeping Brentford down in the mire. it has often been noted about a bucket of crabs....when one is about to climb out, the others drag him back down.

If Forest and Everton are deducted 6 points I would say all 3 relegation places are in play. Even Sheffield United might buck up.

I'm not sure they will get the same. Everton have already been punished for the previous year and it will be argued that since this is a rolling situation the previous year plays into the current situation and they shouldn't be punished 'twice'. Not saying I agree with this but that might be argued.

Everton are not being punished twice as you say, they have been punished for the 1st offence, committed another one the same, so they are to be punished for that separate offence, also, they have not been helping the inquiry & have been actively hindering it(Source: bbc/sky). As i understand it, the FA/inquiry haven't even looked at their case yet as they were dealing with Forest's. At least forest actively helped their inquiry & were open to a 'plan' set by the them, what points deduction they get will be, interesting to say the least. Edited by eagleman13 (18 Mar 2024 10.10am)
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
