So you are blaming Sunak for knife crime.

Was he Prime Minister in the 1950s when We decided to import Caribbean knife culture into the country?

Did he open the floodgates to Africans in the 1990s?

I think not.

Maybe you think that he should have introduced a rigorous stop and search policy in London that targeted the groups almost entirely responsible for this kind of crime?

Sunak is the current Prime Minister,we cannot disinter Harold McMillan. So the buck stops with him.Knife crime is out of control and The Government must pass harsher penalties for perpetrators as they have in the U.S.A.

You are blaming Sunak for decisions made in the past.

Right now, if anyone tried to clamp down on these sorts of crimes in a meaningful way, there would be a deluge of criticism and claims of racism and human right violations by people of your political ilk and those that profit from stirring up race issues.

You must remember that even when lives are taken and at risk alongside over half of knife carriers and victims being within 10% of the population as a whole; that quotas on stop and search have to be met for PC reasons. BLM won’t be happy otherwise.

What cost incarcerating these animals?

So sad for the victim's family

often, when reading these stories, i will google some of the names along with the word 'drug' and see what comes up.

Bingo.....1.5 million quids worth of cocaine...connected to one of the Lads described. And the article describes their motive for stabbing Jonas 'cos he was a snitch'.

i am sure Jonas was completely innocent*. And very unlucky to get murdered ( pre-planned) by a drugs gang.

*And that is my official comment, and i am sticking to it.

And these individuals are probably down the food chain from those controlling distribution of said drugs.

places with low knife crime probably don't have harsh penalties. Japan, Singapore, Iceland. Low knife crime and spotless public toilets.

just saying.

My opinion being that sometimes the State could behave like Papa Doc Duvalier , with super-harsh penalties......and still have a ton of knife crime. Meanwhile, Japan will never have the levels of crime seen in Penge & Thornton Heath.

Our open door policy has allowed untold criminal elements into this country. This is not just a 'Black' problem. This is about multiplying the number of organised criminals many times, thus making drug related crime among their 'soldiers' far more frequent.
You have turf wars between nationalities and local affiliations who are likely involved in drug dealing along with punishment crimes and the rest.
Law and order is a joke thanks to the idiocy of politicians and the home office.

I would agree that things have worsened during 14 years of Tory rule, but Sunak has been in charge since 2022.
Meanwhile, we have an appalling opposition who commands no confidence whatsoever.
I have never seen a more cringeworthy bunch of reptiles on the Labour benches.

Our problems are created by years of poor decisions going back decades.

Exactly.

5 years for being in possession, for example.

The London Mayor whether tory or labour, can't do much except support the police.

The governing party, in this case the tories, have the responsibility for law and order, only they can legislate.

Labour has a far better record with 'tough on crime and its causes'.

Austerity has so much to answer for.

So you agree to search more black kids because they are the prime driver in knife crime. Without prejudice it can be done but sadly because racism is the buzz word and it WILL be more black kids it won’t be done.

Doesn't the Sentencing Council decide these things?
