I know the feeling well.
Only 1 win in our last 12 PL games, only 2 PL wins at home.
Walrus moans of boredom watching the dull as dishwater performances.

This side, as it is currently structured and with Roy Hodgson at the helm, won't pick up many more points, we can't defend and we rarely attack, a terrible combination. Therefore our survival is reliant on the teams below us doing even worse, or being deducted further points.
At this stage I'm not sure which is more likely, but know that is time for a change.

Not that long I suppose. Supporter since '67.

The ineptitude of tactics, team selections, substitutions, lack of youngsters is what's making me angry. Plus the lack of team spirit, incapacity to defend set pieces and complete lack of attacking threat. Loyal supporters turning on the board and the players and each other.

Enough?

I do know a number of long-time supporters who have passionately supported our club through thick and thin, rain, hail or snow.Some have travelled the length and breadth of the country by road and rail.
They are totally disillusioned with the club at the present time resulting in much wailing and lamentation.

Jnrw2 and willo I totally understand if you don’t want to go to games. It’s a very hard watch at the moment. My point was more if you’re going to the games get behind the team best you can! I was fuming at the game Saturday and with some of the recent decisions by the owners. I wasn’t at my most positive or vocal either. However it’s against Brighton right? Surely just for a bit of pride you stay in the ground and “support” as a supporter especially against them. Even if it’s having a pop at them being tarquins and utd fans etc.

I just tried looking at the few players that were running their hearts out Lerma, Munoz, JP, even Hughsey was trying ( just out of his depth in there). I was too bemoaning Hodgson bringing on Olise and the performances of Henderson, Anderson and Mitchell who were quite frankly pathetic from KO. The club is a mess and the football is a bit s**t but that’s palace right and it’s definitely been loads worse before.

I have definitely seen worse football in my 40 years supporting palace Burley and Francis eras aren’t that long ago. We’ve also folded way worse than Saturday at Millwall ( puncheon hat-trick) and 5-0 once I remember. Also at home to Sunderland, scunthorpe, Wimbledon etc etc that’s just of the top of my head. I don’t remember banners and as much moaning when Goldberg and Jordan were steering us to administration. I know we’ve had 10 year in the prem and all the riches etc I just think a little perspective is needed! This isn’t the worst it’s been 5 points above relegation and still with some decent players and winnable fixtures. COYP

overall that is an excellent and insightful OP. i would request any Eagle on here to estimate the motivation levels of the opposition for all these games. High, medium, Low.

Mid table = middling effort and maybe try out the kids for next season. Could be Newcastle/Brighton/Chelscum.

Sheffield/Burnley....already dead, relaxed and sometimes playing better as a result.

title race, top four, relegation dogfight....all presumably highly motivated to win.

champions League or FA cup commitments.....always a consideration. You wanna play Liverpool on a Saturday after they played a big game mid-Week. A squad with much commitments will presumably have more injuries & suspensions. Also, a glory club will save their A team for a big european fixture....to the advantage of whoever plays them a couple days prior to this ?

Infamously, Harry Rednapp teams always used to play their final few games wearing their flip-flops and with a hangover. Once they had guaranteed another season in the top-flight they were off to ride the missus & drink pina colada.
