I understand the caution with Olise, but what exactly does Schlupp offer? There are 5 defenders in the starting lineup and Hughes and Leema can defend well enough, surely we can afford to play more than two forward thinking players? My guess is we'll play 343 to match Brighton, try and keep it at 0-0 with Olise to come on after 60-70 minutes to win/draw. It's what Roy has done all season. Just try and stay in games. Having said all that, maybe the team will surprise us. COYP!!

My guess is we'll play 343 to match Brighton, try and keep it at 0-0 with Olise to come on after 60-70 minutes to win/draw. It's what Roy has done all season. Just try and stay in games.

Having said all that, maybe the team will surprise us. COYP!!

I’m guessing Roy is again playing for a clean sheet and praying for a goal from somewhere, there can’t be a plan to get one with this team.

If we lose this without scoring, which I am expecting, he has to be sacked immediately… surely?

Having no faith in the team, or ability to coach them, and playing the most defensive XI possible is as depressing as it gets. If it’s ineffective too, it’s beyond madness.

I can't see how Schlupp gets anywhere near the starting 11 though; would have tried Edouard there (albeit he's clearly lazy).

It seems that Hodgson's attitude is "I'm not enjoying myself, why should anyone else" You could just about understand a team with literally no creative players in it if there was the chance of scoring from a dead-ball situation when Ayew gets fouled. But we have nobody in the team that can deliver a decent ball in -it will probably be Hughes - and nobody with the heading ability to take advantage of anything that comes in

I expect Roy likes Eze and Olise not playing, it means he doesn’t have to fine anyone for going forward
