To be honest, compared to what was to come up front in the early 80’s, McCulloch, Jones, Brown, Mahoney, Aylott etc, Allen wasn’t too bad for us considering we were suddenly relegation fodder. It’s just being swapped for Kenny Sansom, although not his fault, he didn’t stand a chance on the popularity front even before what he did in the 1/4 final when he went back to QPR Aylott was brilliant.ly funny.
