One game left for Forest v palace. A draw there should see us safe as I can't see any of the bottom 3 getting to 30 points this season.

Our record won 5, Drawn 4, Lost 2.

I think you are probably right. Burnley and Sheff Utd cannot be saved at this late stage. Ignoring any further points deductions that may or may not happen for Forest and Everton. The situation seems to be that Luton like us have some difficult fixtures coming up and I cannot see them getting more than 28-30 points meaning they are likely to occupy that 3rd relegation space on the basis of points likely to be earned between now and the end of the season. Looking at our up and coming fixtures then we will also find points hard to get but we should manage a final total of at least 33-34. However, based on average points scored YTD then our final total could go as high as 39 pts versus Luton on 30pts. Fingers crossed!

I can see any points deductions (further ones) being delayed until next season. There will be appeals that will likely drag on beyond the end of the season and therefore Forest and Everton may find themselves starting on negative points. How the three teams eventually relegated feel about that is where further problems may arise (assuming both Forest and Everton stay up).

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

I think the PL will want the points deductions to be managed asap but any punishment will be applied this season...

"Premier League rules state any appeals process should "conclude no later than and if possible some time before 24 May" - five days after the final match day of the current season. Any points deductions or sanctions must be applied to this season."

It's really hard to know what will happen as most of us were surprised what happened to Everton initially. I can't imagine we'll see a 10 point deduction for either club. My guess would be it'll be somewhere between 3-6 points and possibly some kind of restrictions on transfers for the next window. That is based on pure speculation though!

That is just speculation but I'd say a decent effort as it is reflective of my own predictions!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Rumours doing the rounds that it will be 6 points each, as with Everton's previous penalty.

If so it makes Luton V forest on sat even more of a must win!

Has to be done this season. Premiership have reiterated this. Forest and Everton's punishments to be doled out no later than April 8th. From there both clubs have 3 days to confirm if they will appeal, their appeal will be heard around beginning of May and it might take as long as 3 weeks for the appeals board to decide if the punishment is reduced. This means its possible we might not know who stays up and who goes down till almost when the Euros start!
This time line and procedure is apparently set in stone and will not be changed. Personally I think its ridiculous but there you have it

Everton 2
Palace 1.73
Luton 1.3
Brentford 1.22
Burnley 1.22
Forest 1
Sheff utd 0.88

Two good results today as it keeps teams in the mix with something to play for. Luton V Brentford is now a big game for both teams.

Almost always teams that finish in the bottom 3 of this chart go down.

We are next up V Forest, then a couple of weeks later its Everton v Burnley which is now more spicey!

Burnley 1.22
Forest 1
Sheff utd 0.88

That completes our mini league games. There are 10 more games to
play with, as I have said, Everton facing all of the other 5 teams.

After forests points deduction I have luton and forest finishing on the same number of points and GD deciding who goes down! And there are only 3 gaols between them.

Forest and Luton have eight games to overhaul an eight point deficit to us, for us to go down. That's already three wins from eight required. Or two wins and three draws. And that assumes that we lose every remaining game.

If we win just one of our final nine games, that requirement goes up to 12 and both of them needing to win half of their games. Very very unlikely.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...
