Probably right , not because Paddy would be any better, he won’t because we don’t have enough players of quality for EPL football. The only way Paddy would get the caretaker job would be , because no other half decent manager would want the job role under Parish. If Paddy is in charge until end of season we are relegated!

Correct.

Yes,I noticed a few things when Paddy was last in charge at Arsenal last season.
Like a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Arsenal!!
Probably, needs more experience before he takes the helm.

And what was the score when Roy was in charge this season?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Yes,5-0 humiliating defeat, illustrating the incompetence of both of them,Paddy in particular, who was on record as being pleased with his team's efforts!!
Paddy appointed = Championship Football next season.

Paddy's game was during a complete club meltdown where he stepped in - as he had to. He may as well have praised the players - he was just a caretaker and was going to have to continue to work with them. It was a poor performance.
Roy has been a manager longer than Paddy has been alive. Even if we totally exonerate Roy from any blame for injuries, it's a totally different scenario. The whole season has been poor: the Arsenal game was actually woeful. On the back of recent form I truly believe it was the moment to step aside. Paddy would not have done any worse - I'm not saying he's the Messiah but I don't believe he'd put up with that? Do you? I don't suppose it really matters in some ways. I'd suspect we would have lost if Jesus himself was in charge. That's the squad weakness - yet just give up like that? I don't see that in Paddy. It may all well be a moot argument in a couple of weeks - or not.

no 'question marks', try outs, number two's, or other promising young hopefuls......unless you are a Brighton Troll trying to sabotage HOL.

Being Number One is a highly political role. And no amount of understanding of formations, set-pieces or using the offside trap is any substitute for Proven Success.

the only Paddy i recommend is Mick McCarthy.

Jose ManUre-Ho is currently unemployed. I hate him. But i would happily employ Lucifer himself if he had a proven CV.

Paddy would be good option if we were in the championship.

Ha, but played for Ireland (although that was under the dubious FIFA loophole of having once seen a pint of Guinness).

You may be connect there? Or you may not be?

The positive is that our U21 under his management did not have the feed the current coach has but nevertheless produced far better results. If you want continuity of bringing forward players from the academy, they will know him well and is more likely to bring forward the youth. After all, this is one of the major plus points cited for Cooper save PM actually knows those academy players. And he will have learned a great deal from Roy + Ray.

The negative is he may not make the step up from U21 master to EPL no.1 and, indeed, he might be cr@p.
