Who cares who he's managed, he is more progressive than Roy, promotes youth, plays better football. This anti Brighton sentiment is getting boring, pathetic even. Doubt there are many here who can remember the bad old days. Let's not forget Mullery managed us after he was at Brighton. We're two clubs near each other in the South of England, who both have Chairman who are supporters. They have a new stadium, a cohesive plan and are successful.,,We don't, We haven't and we're not, Just Jealousy and loads of it.

My paper today reporting that Pochettino is suggesting that Potter (and Lampard) were responsible for causing the current malaise affecting the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge. I suppose he would want to blame his predecessors, but Potter never looked comfortable there. Given a choice between him and Lampard it would have to be Potter, but hasn't he said he's not interested in coming here?
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

If Potter is the best man for the job, get him in! It is somewhat embarrassing that we beat Brighton in the playoffs but they very quickly have eclipsed us

Rumoured to have shared a taxi with Mark Bright after the Arsenal game and was dropped off with him at "the Offices" whatever that means. No idea how true that rumour is but apparently, the cabby swears the two of them were in his taxi. At least 4th hand info so take it with the proverbial pinch of...

Why is it the people who WANT him mention it?

And the way the proverbial managerial merry-go-round whizzes along the chances of potential managers being untainted by association with rivals, either real or imagined, is decreasing.

Um, I have to disagree. FdB is by far worse than Pardew. His resume is a train wreck, and the brief time he spent with us was part of that carnage. Don't forget for a while we were singing "Super Alan Pardew". He also took us to an FA cup final. I'm not saying I want him back, but compared to FdB he looks like a star. Not sure you're thinking of the same bloke who the OP is referring to. Took Ostersunds in Sweden from the 4th tier to 5th in their top division from 2011-2018. Got recognised and got an effective job promotion and step up to manage Swansea. Did well enough there to get the Brighton job and progressed them from relegation candidates to top half of the Prem. Impressed Chelsea enough for them to sack Thomas Tuchel and poach him. As far as his CV goes it's been on an clear upward trajectory which has been almost the polar opposite of 'failure'. As far as I'm aware, the only sacking was at Chelsea, and if we're honest, that club has been a total car crash for years. His record there although bad, is almost on par with Poch who has been given funds to completely rebuild the squad. He's young, has an excellent CV and to me is the stand out contender. However, we're possibly a bit beneath him and I can see him holding out for a bigger job - Newcastle/Villa type. He will be a disaster for Palace, The hero at Brighton is the Chief scout and DOF, not Potter. his record at Brighton was 1.28 points per match, Hodgson's is 1.23 per match at Palace, and Roy unbelievably has a better goals per game avg than Potter, only once in his 5 seasons did Brighton score more goals than us with Potter as manager, great CV isn't it
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Anyone not want Potter? He's surely a much better bet than Cooper who has only proven he can get out of the champ and keep them up once - much like most managers we've had. Potter will play youth and has shown he can take an average team to the top of the Prem. The nonsense at Chelsea never gave him a chance imo. I couldn't care less that Potter used to manage Br*ghton. Of course the risk is he does badly and idiots point at the Br*ghton connection. But he's much more likely to do well, isn't he? I'd be happy with Graham Potter but from what I have read in the last few weeks it looks like he is holding out for an offer from a 'big' club
