Worst team in the division, the stats don't lie. If we cannot beat them at home, then we don't deserve to stay up. With the players we have at our disposal, it is entirely on Roy's head. If he is still here and we don't win, then he absolutely needs to go.

I watched game, entertaining finish. Sheffield United are poor, they have Ben Diaz though who falls into the category of ‘where were we then?’ but they are giving it a go. I genuinely fear they could be the kind of team that despite the low quality, turn up and outwork our deflated and lifeless team to beat us without even a whimper from us. Who knows though. Everything feels so precarious atm.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

If we had acquired him on Loan there might have been howls of derision about signing a player who had not scored a single goal for Villarreal this season in 20 appearances. He is a striker but I was informed he does prefer to play off the left. Edited by Willo (21 Jan 2024 4.17pm)

Roy's handy hints and tips... Pre-Match Prezza: Sheffield United are a very strong side, very well organised and difficult to beat. Of course, always difficult to score goals in the Premier League, but we are going to give it our best shot. Team Selection: Henderson, Clyne, Anderson, Guehi, Mitchell, Richards, Lerma, Eze, Olise, Mateta, Ayew. Subs: The other ones. Tactics: Keep it tight, defend narrow, hopefully a little bit of magic from Olise or Eze. If we go a goal down, then keep it tight, defend narrow, hopefully a little bit of magic from Olise or Eze. If we go two down, wait until the 78th minute and bring on Ozoh, Ahamada and Franca, who unfortunately are too young to start. Post-Match Prezza: Draw – I thought we deserved more from the game against a very well-organised Sheffield United team fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table. Respect the point. Win (1-0) – I thought we deserved a lot more from the game, but of course we welcome the 3 points against a very well-organised team fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table. Very pleased to see the clean sheet. Win (by more than 1 goal) - I have not prepared for that. Loss – Poor refereeing decisions, very unlucky based on the balance of play, we move on to the next game. Transfer update: We are hoping to get one or two over the line before the deadline to freshen things up, but of course it is never easy given the situation. Let’s wait and see. Fans booing: Well of course they are entitled to their opinion, but we are trying as hard as we can. Of course it is very difficult. When thanked by anyone, just smile and say "It’s a pleasure" Nail/head. Roy is nothing if not extremely predictable. Edited by Sansbup (21 Jan 2024 4.46pm)
