As someone who lived for a long time in New Cross, grew up in Lewisham and has been ritualistically albeit impotently been taken to/attended Millwall games consistently over the years, in an attempt by friends but more sincerely family to convert me - we are very far from being Millwall and booing will not move us any closer to being them.

We have survived well in the Premiership because of Steve Parish and the work he has done to resurrect us from where we were when he took over to where we are now. Unless we want to call it quits and just preserve the last decade or so to memory forevermore, this does not mean things will always be rosy and we'll continue in a blissful state of gratitude and nothing else.

It's football, it moves on, SP or friends are not perfect, they will get things wrong or reach their limitations, the team will play badly, the manager will come under scrutiny and fans have the right to voice their frustration, disapproval or concerns. That's either accepted as a fact of life or we remove all allowances for fans to act in accordance to their own free will. We are colour coded to match North Korea...

That point is where we differ.

I'd never boo our manager. Roy is, in his own mind, doing the best he can with the resources he has at hand. That doesn't mean that I fully agree with his decision making, but I don't think that is just cause to jeer him.

Booing the manager and, indeed, the players, just creates a toxic atmosphere. In fact complete silence can be just as effective as it can show the fan's displeasure without actually resorting to abuse.

I doubt if that would ever happen though as too many people like the sound of their own voice.

As a general rule, Palace are one of the best supported clubs in the league however the frustration at tactics, substitutions, lack of transfer activity etc etc is starting to take its toll on the Palace faithful.

One or two people on here saying Roy should not be booed are not fully representative of the Palace fan base and I would say that if it could be clearly heard amongst those who have given up a cold midweek night to watch another goalless effort then maybe saying Roy is blameless is actually a minority opinion.

At the end of the day the morality of, to boo or, not to boo is irrelevant. It’s a football match and fans should be able to voice their opinion.

I’ve only heard booing on 2 or 3 occasions in the last few years so it’s not like it’s a regular occurrence. On that basis perhaps Roy should accept that his refusal to have a real go at Everton in the second half has annoyed a big part of the fan base.

Boooooo, We have every right to boo manager, boring, turgid football, 2 FA Cup games against Everton, and not one goal.

Why would olise, Eze and Anderson want to stay at a club with ziltch ambition.

These chairman, all they are interested in is getting their yearly dividend of 18 Million.

Roy must go now, and get someone in who will play progressive attacking football, rather than this shower of s*** were expected to put up with..

I would not do it myself I would just moan about the situation amongst my fellow supporters. No problem with people booing if they have paid good money and are disappointed. The result of the booing was for our manager to give an explanation as to why he made the decisions he did. Like it or like it not we all make decisions that we feel are correct and our manager is no different. We can all disagree but it won’t influence anything.COYP

If people are pissed off they shouldn’t go…nothing like a half empty stadium to sharpen the chairman’s mind

We could do with a dangerous left winger…….

I think Roy is blameless, he is doing the same as he always has, defensive tactics, experienced players, no change, i wouldn't have started Eze, Andersen, Guehi, Lerma or Mitchell, But as for the board a complete and utter shambles 75% of the voting shareholders don't give a s**t and the other one is businessly impotent.

I agree. I'm not a fan of Roy's tactical approach but he has done what he does and what he knows best. I think the brief is to remain in the PL and thus far he has delivered.

Mr Hodgson could receive an extended contract.
This would be well received by supporters.
