…for Parish to step aside?

1. no
2. could you include the question in one line, just for the sake of clarity of the query being asked.
3. The conditions when it makes sense to remove parish are either success, (for example if Textor offers Parish chairman of Eagle football or Lyon) or failure.

the failures i see as being cause for dismissal are
a.) Bankruptcy/Administration ( ala Jordan and Goldberg)
b.) failure to get the new stand sorted( the stand that was promised)(we have waited a while for this stand)
c.) something criminal like tax dodging.
d.) seperating the club from the ground ( ala ron noades)

4. I appreciate that younger fans having had ten years of the premier league feel frustrated by the sense of a lack of pushing on and up to the next level , but given the history of dodgy directors, i feel that parish's phoenix like ability to get us playing for the longest time ever in the top flight of english football counts for quite a lot for him.

I have said many times as long as SP has 20 per cent of shares and reportedly takes out £4.-4.5 m a year in salary bonuses and commercial payments we will almost certainly not build the stand or sign much needed players for hard cash unless selling first.
I would guess there are not many billionaire shareholders around whatever nationality prepared to invest millions unless all shareholders put in their bit or percentage.-or sell it without strings. The original deal for the stand was approx £60-which was paid to the then 4 shareholders reportedly on condition it was put back in when planning received and stand to be built. Now the stand is likely to be at least double the cost-so SP would have to cough up minimum £30 m ,that’s without a player budget!
It is unlikely any new investor would come in with wads of cash without total control-or shareholders agreement to all contribute to funding in their share proportion.Of course it has been very clever for SP personally and many really admire how astute he has been-and keeping us up for 11 years-but despite the fact we are a London club, have some valuable young players,a huge catchment area both for supporters and academy players, great history etc etc a would-be investor would have to be comfortable with SP terms-which seems most unlikely considering recent failed bid only becoming public when a banker allegedly had a conflict of interest.

No. He's taken us to heights we could only have dreamed of a few years ago. Loves the club. Loves the area. Has a good head on his shoulders.

Holton Thunderbolt -
CPFC Accounts are available on the Govt website -its worth taking a look at what they say ref SP salary & bonuses, the report reads Directors reimbursement - £1.7 m, of which majority of which is for previously due bonuses of which most is anticipated to be reinvested into the club.

OK but right now it's not much fun is it? Our playing style has made us not just unfashionable but unattractive. We add least value to the PL brand. No megarich benefactor wants us.

I don't know the business workings of the club. I just worry that after 11 years in the top flight we are not a wealthier club. We are not financially robust.

I suppose most of the income goes on players salaries.

It leaves us forever on the precipice, where if we go down we might do a Pompey or worse still an Oldham.

Just MO of course.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

As I posted elsewhere, Parish tends to do things in cycles.

Re-appointing Hodgson was a playing for time tactic in my view. Either his choice of manager wasn’t available last summer or he didn’t rate any of the other potential candidates.

I’m frustrated with Parish for that reason. Add to that going into this season with a squad short on quantity and quality, and the predictable dull football and I’m not surprised that people are critical of him.

So let’s see. I don’t like him spouting BS about aiming for the top ten when we only look at best a mid table outfit. But my hope is that this summer he recruits the right man for the job and also overhauls the squad and we go into next season on a more positive note

10th is mid table!

I still find it unbelievable that people even think things like this, love him or hate him, he owns the club. It’s like me as an ordinary grunt employee going up to the owner of my company and saying to him, ‘isn’t it time you stepped aside?’

As someone one said above, so what happens if he does? Do people really think we’re going to be better off as we stand at the moment?

for clarity, he doesn't own the club and never has. He owns a percentage of the club's shares - previous it was 25% when CPFC 2010 was formed, now it is much lower as the 3 Americans have bought in. I think his current holding is in the region of 10% to 15%.
He could be dismissed as CEO if the 3 Americans decided they wanted a change. I have seen CEOs and founders being booted out of listed businesses on many occasions. He would still own his shares but would have no control over the day to day running of the club.

A football comparison is Venables at Spurs. Sugar sacked him and could do so as he owned more than 51% of the club.
