Last night l thought we had a very poor keeper in Henderson,he does not look confident, looks totally relieved when he makes a save, and his distribution and kicking where pretty poor not to mention his couple of mad Hatter moments,l sincerely hope we put Johnson back as number 1 keeper when he is fit,Henderson is a liability and not worth the £20 million we paid for him,Utd must be laughing there sox off!!! bulls***e!

I said in the Brighton match thread i thought Henderson, Anderson and Guehi looked mentally tired towards the end of the game and a few mistakes came in which thankfully did not cost us a goal. I put it down to been under the cosh in back to back games for long periods. Henderson to me looks an excellent signing and is still young for a goalkeeper so should improve as will his sell on value if we want to sell him.

Henderson has just returned from an injury and was still suffering the affects of a virus.

People in here are making excuses for the keeper. If he was ill shouldn't have played. (we have another 2 keepers who could have gone in) Next it's his decisions which was poor he lost his head a few times that is nothing to do with returning from injury. You can see why United didn't trust him. With games he will improve in some areas but really do people think once Sam is back Dean will still be kept in goal NO. We over paid for him looked like panic buy 10m yes put going up to around 20m when we have other areas which needed addressing way above another keeper was bad business.

Basically, two games is far too few to judge any player.

It was a far from impressive performance from Henderson but his return from injury and the affects of a virus could have been contributing factors.

That’s a worry for Johnstone as shot stopping is the one thing he’s good at! I like Johnstone but his kicking has got poorer, he doesn’t come for crosses and he’s slow off his line (Arsenal penalty and B’mouth 2nd goal as proof). Henderson played in goal for a promoted team that then finished 9th in the league, went back to Man U where he was (allegedly) told he’d be no.1 ahead of De Gea before he picked up an injury. He then did very well at Forest when he got injured which eventually scuppered his move there. He has played at a very high level and performed well at a young age for a keeper. I believe he will be our number 1 and although I was surprised by some of his decision making and a few fumbles the other night I do think he’s class will shine through.

No, more likely because he's been out for months and is still re-adjusting to the pace of first team football.

Enough of this! He's a very good keeper. He needs GAMES. He's nowhere near his best yet. Just needs a few more games.

I do agree he needs games. On that same logic, big credit to Sam Johnstone coming in last year and hitting the ground running. He also hadn't played for months.

Maybe a little bit less pressure for Sam when he got his chance though, because VG had burned his bridges with us and Sam suddenly didn’t have any competition
