Than we are. And their kids are better than our kids. Just because Man C lost to our reserves doesn't mean anything, they have a ton of kids out on loan. 3 on loan in the Prem, 3 in other top leagues. So our best reserve team beat their reserve reserve team.... And as for Micah Hamilton, he's obviously a special talent, So as ambrose7 said, our kids aint that good. Nobody has ever gone on to do better than palace. But as for Ola-Adebomi, I'd love to see him on the bench and give him a few mins, but I also want the club to decide if its the right thing to do.

We may be seeing the first ex Academy player breaking into the big time. Since his debut in October, Jake O’Brien has played a full 90 minutes for 10 matches in a row at Olympic Lyonnaise scoring 3 goals and one assist. The team beat third place Monaco away 0-1, their second in a row and Textor’s ‘garcons’ are now on the cusp of breaking out of the relegation zone after a horrendous start. Roy had no interest in Jake preferring a clapped out Arsenal ‘has been’ Holding. I hope we have a hefty sell on clause as the EPL moneybags vultures are beginning to take notice with Everton scouts already circling.

Roy tends to bring young players on in games we've already lost, like the 4-0 drubbing by Newcastle earlier this season. If City stroll to a comfortable lead he may well get 10/15mins on Saturday, especially if Eduoard is out as there's no way JPM can last 90+ minutes. Or going by your theory and looking on the brightside, he could get 85 minutes today! Edited by eritheagle (16 Dec 2023 9.24am)

I didn't want him sold for one million in one of Textor's dodgy deals. I want Textor nowhere near the club. He was an obvious one to try.

Mosees? Routledge?Arguably Foderingham though "better" might be a stretch.

From a hazy memory, we played Bromley either in a friendly or cup and he had a blinder. We signed him up as our third keeper, and I think the next season loaned him out to Swindon, where he did well so they bought him off us. I didn't really expect to see him in the Prem, but I guess unlike wingers, GKs keep on getting better with age.

It's also easier to introduce a young player into a team packed with top class players.

With Ola-A on the bench along with all the other kids, we are starting to see the green shoots of our Academy emerging

But….he was ready for first team football and he wasn’t going to displace Andersen or Guehi. So a move made sense. Nothing whatsoever to do with Roy having no interest or preferring Holding.
