To those happy with a point at home to Bournemouth what would they be happy with in the two subsequent games v Liverpool and Manchester City?

Different levels of expectation.

I wouldn't say I would be happy with a point against Bournemouth especially given the run of fixtures after that. But I think Wednesday will be a hard fought game.

I don't expect anything from the Liverpool and City games so anything we get from them would be a bonus.

Typical that they’ve picked up a bit of form as we’re about to play them, but it’s a big game with the tough ones coming up so I fancy we’ll be up for a Roy special, we’ll grind out a 1-0 win with Olise scoring, and it’ll be another peach, as he only scores good goals

Without Eze I can't see us offering anything. I don't think we've played well all season and if Bournemouth turn up and give it their all I think we are going to lose. I'm really hoping that we'll see one of those freak performances where Roy pulls something unexpected out the bag, but I have a horrible feeling we might get turned over. 0-3 Bournemouth.

For me it will be very tight but with three days rest I can see another 1-1

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Let’s get it straight, we should not be ‘grateful’ or ‘pleased’ with a point at home to Bournemouth.
We’re without Eze and Doucoure, but should surely still have enough ambition to aim for more than that.
We haven’t managed to beat Fulham, Forest and Everton at home in recent weeks and to add Bournemouth to this list would not augur well.
I would contend that as a minimum you should be able to win two of these four home games against teams in and around us.
I don’t want to see us set up hoping for a 0-0 with the possibility of scoring a late winner. Bournemouth are not Manchester City.
Let’s not get bogged down with the low expectations that Roy has a habit of sucking supporters into (some will see it as realism, but I disagree).

So we’re not allowed to say what we think will happen, just what would happen if we were a better team without all the injuries and with a different approach? Bookies must love you

It’s a forum so people are free to say what they like if it’s within the law.
If people think it will be a draw, and that’s a good result, they are perfectly entitled to that opinion. It wasn’t so much the forecast of a draw that prompted my response, it was more that it would deemed to be a good result.

Low expectations seem to be the order of the day , but if we continue to aim low and still miss, I’m not sure people will be too happy.

We’ve been unfortunate not to get Olise and Eze together on the field for any length of time, this season but all clubs can suffer injuries to key players.
One win at home so far this season is in my opinion not good enough, and to add Bournemouth to the list would just compound the problem.

The only time we have scored 2 or more goals this season is when Eze has been in the team and of course he is missing on Wednesday.

Being Palace I half expect a loss or draw against Bournemouth and then two wins.

Every time we give points away to teams below us, then 18th place is coming up towards us and therefore only acceptable result is a CP win!
