I'm not a religious person by any means, but it would be fascinating to go back to the Sea of Galilee, sit on the mount and listen to Jesus' sermon. Just to see if he was a genuine bloke or a fraudster, or Brian. If I could travel forward in time I'd like to go 100 years on to see if my house is still standing and if anyone still owns a classic, vintage petrol car. Or if anyone or anything exists at all. Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

My contribution to the topic is that I'd go back to see some dinosaurs, somewhere during the 165 million years or so that they were around!

today we have Presidents & Prime Ministers watching their own military operations in real-time. On a tv screen. The killing of Osama Bin Laden being a high profile one. I would like to go back to Rome. And witness the Caesar when the news trickled in of a disappeared Legion in Scotland or the Teutoberg forest. and hear him shouting... what ? when ? how do you know ? are you sure ? how the feck did that happen ? does nobody have an accurate story ? and what about all their stuff ? are you really sure ?

I'd travel back to my childhood and give myself a hand book of how to deal with life and an almanac of sports results. It worked in Back to the Future. I doubt there was any time in history that was better than my lifetime, so I am happy with my 60 years of time travel. I wouldn't mind a quick peek at Roswell in 1947, Dealey Plaza in 1963 or a few other conspiracy hot spots, but I feel like the future would be more appealing for an inquisitive trip. I'd take some anti Morlock spray and pick up a hand phaser just in case.

Going by how the world has progressed with technology over the last 50 years, I would like to nip into the future say 200 or 300 years to see what life was like. My dad died in 1993 just before mobile phones really kicked off and he had one of those bricks with the big rubber aerials. I’ve always thought if he suddenly appeared now 30 years later, he’d be amazed at what an iPhone could do compared to his brick, and that’s only 30 years later

1913. Spend a year seeing Europe how it was before chaos was unleashed, the consequences of which play out to this day.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

i would gift my younger self a tiny piece of paper. With all the dates for the peaks & troughs of the housing market. Plus all the winners of the Grand National. i would also be tempted to befriend the 1973 mother of Ian Huntley, and to spike her tea with contraceptive tablets.
