There are figures available that show a direct correlation between Islamic immigration and the rise of attacks on Jews and Synagogues across Europe. Also the burning of Christian churches. No surprise that no one reports it. Douglas Murray has demonstrated it clearly in publications. 'The Strange Death of Europe' has a chapter on it. It's been going on for the last twenty years. Admittedly, not as much in the UK as on the continent.

I think we need to get away from such terms as "Jew hating", rather than emphasising them.

Speaking only for myself I try hard to judge people by their character and not by any baggage that their association with anything arbitrary might bring. Whether that be religion, nationality, sex or skin colour.

So I neither condemn people nor give them a free pass. It's only how they behave that matters.

As I have said before I was in Israel in early September, a visit that was followed by a week's cruise around the eastern Mediterranean. I was a little concerned that there would be some Russians on board as they can still visit Israel and my experience of them has not been good in the past. I need not have worried as there were few and the ones I chatted to were extremely pleasant.

However, the ship was dominated by Israelis. I did not speak socially to one during the entire cruise. Not through any lack of effort on my part, but every "good morning" or smile was blanked. They stayed in their groups and only spoke Hebrew. They also failed to queue and were generally quite rude.

So not a good experience and quite an eye-opener. I understand the background and why they might feel suspicious but it was still uncomfortable and I couldn't help but conclude they weren't helping their cause by behaving like that.

That's not, in my book, anti-Semitic or anti-Jew. I have known many Jews in the UK and got along fine. It's not the religion. It's the behaviour.

Rude, unfriendly and don't queue - are you sure you weren't in France?

Why can't everybody just get along together. It's all so sad.

Feels like formalised religion is at the root of most wars.

its all painfully predictable.

I agree with the general thrust of the post.

It's not without parallel to everything else though:

Oppose BLM/Taking the knee = Racist
Oppose Pride flags everywhere = Homophobic
Oppose Mass Migration to your little island = Racist
Oppose the indoctrination and butchery of vulnerable adults and children = Transphobic

You have however hit upon the point, whether it be intentional or not. Religion is of course the ultimate identity however we now have many an 'identity' battle line being drawn these days. What it does is nicely segregate society so that we all battle it out on the ground whilst those with power wield influence over the masses to steer them whichever way suits them best.

'Jew hating' is not a term I like being floated so loosely. What it does is draw another battle line which negates any sensible conversation and urges you to pick one side or t'other. I don't consider myself as particularly dogmatic and therefore sit outside such divisions, I like to base my thoughts, opinions and actions upon rationale.

The latest situation has of course immediately outlined battle lines now upon which many will choose either one side or the other. Unfortunately, especially with the Jewish population being such a minority, it looks as though they may all be on the front line and the most vulnerable purely as a numbers game.

This is however the very demonstration of geopolitics being brought to our streets. I think it actually quite fair to say as an Englishman that I don't give a f**k. You may argue that I should however I'd be readily standing by with a catalogue of reasons as to why I should not. Unfortunately the mass migration and supporting 'multiculturalism' narrative has only meant my attention be demanded as it is unfolding in front of my eyes and outside my door.

Every culture will have beef if not direct opposition to others, that's somewhat natural. Also, cultures have been killing one another off since the dawn of time. To suggest you cannot show any opposition or antagonism toward a culture that directly conflicts with your own is ludicrous beyond belief. Demanding you must side with one of two cultures other than your own is also beyond ridiculous, only surpassed in insanity by saying that if you don't side with them, you 'hate' them.

All sense or attempt to at least strive for sanity in things has long left this planet. Suggesting you 'hate' a group because you are not supporting them in a war with another group equally foreign to you, or because you even attempt to have a conversation to merely question their self designated saintliness, demonstrates this perfectly.

For what it's worth, I apparently have some Jewish heritage but for the most part are quite ignorant of them personally, socially and all else wise. I don't hate them, or any other group really, I don't have the energy let alone evidence for it. Equally, I don't hate Muslims, Arabs, Palestinians etc. I do not wish however to see any of them die needlessly and less so wish to see any atrocities on the streets of the UK. The way things have been orchestrated however, this is very likely. Absolute sh!tshow there and everywhere.

It's some combination of climate or Spartan austerity bred of military service or something else, but secular Israelis, whether men or women, have no trouble walking around in public basically half naked.

It's striking. You certainly don't see it elsewhere in the region.

It could also be a Tel Aviv thing.

Europe has a history of the 'debtor village' forming a lynch-mob and taking out its 'creditor village' that exists two miles down the lane.

its nasty , but that is history. Christians were banned from money-lending, usury and the charging of interest on loans.

for a modern interpretation......look at our feelings towards banks during the 2008 financial crash. Its a bit like football referees.....the job-title determines how popular you are likely to be.

Exactly. Jew were not allowed to join guilds or trade associations the only jobs they were allowed were related to money which the elite thought was a dirty job.

So having banned them from all over types of jobs people then say the Jews are all about money, go figure.

I wonder where you heard that from?

Considering the elite aren't the elite without it...

Yup I didn't put that statement into context.

I was referring to the Middle Ages when you could not for example be a stone mason without being in a guild and Jews were banned from the guilds.

The nobility were mainly land rich but cash income poor so were happy to borrow not so keen on paying back and if you borrowed from a Jew and forgot to pay him back so much the better.

I knew you were talking historically.

However Badger, I've heard this kind of comment quite a few times. I think it's one of those situations where if you hear something enough times it becomes history but it has its own context as well.

I think what happens is that people hear that an event happened and then assume that this was then the case for hundreds of years rather than just a King's reign or period of time.

But just look at who actually look at who had the money and the important thing to ask is why....and also how that came to be.

How does that fit with 'everybody hated the Jews'....Let's be realistic, if everybody had hated the Jews then how come they managed to keep hold of the lolly?

The Templars were also a bank system in middle age Europe....They were destroyed and all their money stolen from them.

Ever wondered why the Templars never resurfaced as an economic force again but the Jews always did? Few people are interested or talk about that....no victimhood points for Europeans.

So there is what is said, and there is what happened in history. The Jews were certainly expelled from lots of countries at various times. However, ethnic nepotism is an extremely powerful force....something modern Europeans were weirdly guilted out of and are slowly finding out what the cost of that is. Thankfully I can say I was never part of that.

Capitalism was invented by the Jews in Venice in the 1400's. They used to sit outside at a number of chairs & benches. And the italian word for bench....from whence we get the word 'Bank'.

now, regarding the title of the OP. How many people today have animosity toward the banks ? And Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice covered all this material.

the Borat movie also did a good job. The entire Muslim World of ...circa 1.2 billion people.....has a lot of animosity toward the Jew. And much of the Christian World is not much better.

Following all the anti Semitism and the Holocaust, you could forgive Jews for wanting to return a bit of the disrespect back to the Goyim ?

how to fix this problem ? answers on a postcard please.
