I went to the league game last year and we escaped with a nil nil given Tyricks disallowed own goal.
We won’t get tonked but I think Newcastle will get a goal or two

They don't really have a playmaker to make things happen so if we shut up shop they might not find it so easy to score. The danger will be whenever we push forward as they have real strength on the counter. We've ridden our luck a bit in recent games against them and I wonder if we can hold out again. If Lerma and Doucoure are back I'd be more confident. If it's a central midfield pairing of Jairo and Hughes again we're screwed. I'm thinking a spirited 2-0 defeat.

Not forgetting, Richards, Johnstone & Ayew.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I’ve got a feeling Sam might at least get a half against the Aussies

I'd be somewhat surprised if we score. I'd be shocked if we score two. I expect them to score but we can perhaps hold them off for half an hour or so.

Feels like a 2-0, hopefully not more.

we lose, it rains, go to bigg market, get very drunk, forget where the hotel is, have a dodgy kebab, wake up with a flipflop for a tongue, get train back south hanging, good weekend!

Sometimes I set out for Ludlow
Sometimes I end up in Chepstow

For me it's a 0-0 or a 1-1. We have a few players (hopefully) coming back which I believe will make a difference despite the crowd, the money and us being away.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Massive storm coming through up here Thursday through Sunday 40mph winds and rain from the east which will be right in our faces in the away end. Like to say I am looking forward to it hopefully it will level things up on the pitch. Nil nil.

I'm gambling on Tonali not playing, in which case I'm gambling on just a narrow defeat. 0-1. Another draw will feel like a victory, but I won't gamble on it.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Geordie in peace here,

There are 100+ pubs within walking distance of St James' and all will be welcoming as long as you don't act like ****s.

If you're coming by Train, there's the Comet, the Newcastle Tap, Head of Steam, Mile Castle, The Forth, Town Wall, all within spitting distance of the station.

Then between there and the stadium there's plenty of options, but I'd recommend Tilleys, and Rosies. Obviously there's the Strawberry right outside the ground, but that'll be heaving so if you want to get in, you'd have to get there very early.

If you're coming up by Car, I'd recommend parking at the Metro Centre on the A1 and getting a train/bus/cab over the bridge. Saves you trying to navigate the one way system and find a parking spot. Metro Centre is free parking, CCTV, in a big shopping centre with all that they provide.

three nil-nils against them last season. Very lucky in the league game at their place.

Don't see us keeping them to nil this time despite recent spate of clean sheets - so at best a lucky 1-1 or more likely a 1-0 defeat.
