I would have loved a new quality striker for this season and a couple of others, and I'd imagine that Parish would too. When we have all our best players on the pitch at the same time, we might look pretty good. I garland these comments with praise.

You’re wrong Hrolf: It is that simple and the money is available for us to buy 2 world class players for every position, get Pep or similar as manager and win the Champions League. This is not happening as it’s a criminal enterprise headed by Parish known as the ‘No replacement right back Cartel’. This is evidenced by the alarming fact that a football team that near went bust not long ago, with a rickety old stadium in SE London, is lingering in a lowly 9th position in the PL having just beat United at Old Trafford. Oh the scandal! There’s an injury crisis atm which has compounded our problems having a smallish squad as it is. That said, it won’t be pretty but far more needs to go drastically wrong for us to be anywhere near serious danger. I’d of signed a RB, LB too, a better CB than Holding, two wingers and a striker on top of our business, if I had my way, but like everyone else I do not run a football club and am none the wiser as to the complexities of it all. I’d speculatively suggest we’ve moved away from a ‘Benteke/Sakho’ model to one of poaching players who can do a job but also with large ROI potential. Hence Henderson deal may be seen as strange, Franca too given he’s injured, but they fit the mould, the deals were available and can be accommodated when we have enough to get by in any instance. May cause short term frustrations but long term very beneficial and a good model for us. Where this notion that posting highly emotional things on HoL to rally troops, siege Selhurst Park and remove the owners to pave the way for Billionaires to make all our dreams come true originates from, I’ve no idea. One beauty of football is we can all have our opinions, moan and discuss the various elements of it. I’ve certainly been guilty of some hysterics in the past. To persist with the same, removed from reality tropes time after time is bewildering and annoying at the very least however. In case any hint of irony was not communicated sufficiently, I agree with your sentiments
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I blame Parish.

That’s not financially astute Parish, that’s stupid. Our players are injured because they are bought with injury questions or because they are deficient in player support and getting injured trying to cover the gaps that you, Parish, refuse to get filled. You’re making our club a joke. You may have conned others but you don’t con me. You’re happy with our current situation because you know we won’t be relegated. What a joke. Why don’t you pluck another random premier league club out of the hat to follow that you’ve never seen play live, if you’re not happy? Edited by monkey (05 Oct 2023 11.52am)

Well yes, this whole topic is... "You may have conned others but you don’t con me" ok so what is the con? Has he done a Ron Noades and sold the ground to his golf company? Has he bought the club ala Goldberg for an inflated price with nothing but a hare-brained scheme for success? Or has he done a Jordan and sacked anyone who disagreed with him behind the scenes and brought his brother in on a high salary to f*** everyone off? Can someone spell it out once and for all so we can all get where you're coming from? Don't just say something like "he's not signed 8 players" without explaining where the f***ing money comes from or "if you don't get it you're a mug and sucking Parish's c***" can you put some actual facts to it? Get what you're saying about the injuries, but we obviously fancy Franca as something special otherwise we wouldn't have brought him in with a minor injury. Lerma and Olise got injured on international duty (cause our squad is that sh!t that we have some being picked by their national team) and Henderson, well yeah if this injury is as bad as it seems then their's question marks over that purchase, but then I'd ask the medical team what they were thinking to ok it. Still not forgiven Guaita for putting us in a situation where we needed to buy a new goalie in the first place. If you can explain it then I'll be signing your change.org petition and will nab a bed sheet for a "Parish, get out of our club your w@nker" sign and slinging it over the front of AW so he can see it next game. Cause at the moment all I'm hearing is: 1. Sack Parish So genuinely curious, what would you do? What do you put in those question marks above? The only thing I have is to sell to a Billionaire fan which annoyingly is what Brighton has managed to do, but I don't see any around for us. Ultimately though I don't care if Parish is chairman, I just want someone with the club's best interests at heart first and foremost and ideally deep pockets. He might not have the latter, but the alternatives (Textor and the Yanks) definitely don't have the first bit, so this is where we are at.
