Because that's really what moving on means isn't it? The only next level we've got is Europe. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a season - just one season - where we qualify for Europe so that I can get stabbed in the buttocks, mugged, baton charged by the local police, and everything else that creates the magic of being in Europe so that my years of following Palace reach fulfillment, but I'd be very worried that if we got the wrong owners in I'd end my days being stabbed in the buttocks, mugged and baton charged by the local police in Grimsby instead. fantastic image!! Leicester's first game in Europe was in Bruges - i remember thinking it won't get better than that. Unfortunately, if it ever happens for us we'll get some obscure club in Eastern Europe

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

What exactly do we mean by sack the board? If we're talking the Americans, I'd be happy to see them gone tomorrow. Don't trust Textor particularly and think the others who wanted to buy Chelsea can sod off. Parish 100% has our best interests at heart and, even though I don't always agree with what he does, you can't put a price on that.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

LOLx3 Never really saw the point of having overseas investors in the club especially the yanks who haven't a great track record at other PL clubs . All seems to lose the fact that its a football club a team supported by local people ect .

To be fair, I think Blitzer and Harris would sell up if they could find a buyer (They have obviously had enough). The problem is that any new owners will experience the same issues as the current owners, seemingly different opinions on what should happen. Whilst some of the owners want to invest more and others spend only what is absolutely necessary. There has been some baffling decisions on the money that has been spent. £20m on a backup goalkeeper Leaving us with a paper thin squad given our injuries. Having 2 goalkeepers on the bench for matchdays is laughable. I don't think us Palace supporters are asking for mega bucks investment, perhaps more thought out and sensible decision-making to help us progress. I dread to think the mess we will be in next summer looking for a new manager. No doubt going into July still without a manager, let alone any new players.

We have never had it so good in all my time as a palace supporters. Of course id love a top half finish, of course id love a European adventure and of course a cup run. But I personally would not risk what we have...as they say a bird in the hand is worth two in the sky...or is it bush?

I'm not calling for the board, far from it, but some help understanding recent decisions would be useful. As you mentioned, Hendo and lack of loans are quite baffling.

Many are saying "we've never had it so good" and that is true. However whatever league you're in, being dead mediocre is a fairly joyless state. Judging by the investments recently that status is considered satisfactory by the men who control the purse strings. We're not a glamour club and are clearly not seen as a club with serious potential. I can't help but think were StokeII waiting for the inevitable.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |
