Spiders webs are real works of art and can be aesthetically pleasing.
According to "She who must be obeyed", not all spider varieties spin webs and use other methods to capture their prey.

Not really the first thing I think of when I walk straight through one head first and I scream like a girl

I have an image of a well attired gentleman walking through a web and yelping as it makes contact with his noble head of hair oiled for a special occasion.

the levels of violence & cruelty in the Insect kingdom is legendary.

- Females who kill & consume their mate, for extra resources.
- Females who insert their eggs into a host. A host which then slowly gets eaten from the inside.

- Spiders that paralyze, but not kill their food sources.
- female spiders that have 100 babies that birth and then eat their mother.

its almost as vicious as the human world

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

One in Sydney was lurking under the lid of my brother in law's wheelie bin lid and bit him when he opened the bin. His fingers swelled up and he b=needed to get the hospital to lance it and get the poison out

At least it wasn't a redback hiding under the toilet seat. As they say you find out who your friends are if you need the poison sucked out of one of their bites.

My Dad was ex-military and as hard as nails.....until he saw a spider. My Mum, who was 5ft nothing and Irish could never understand it. One day she said to my Dad, "for goodness sake, it's only a spider. It wouldn't hurt a fly"

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

I got a really cool spider catcher the other day for the big ones. I don't mind the little ones as they take care of the flies.
