There are plenty of alternative uses for the mug shot being posted online. This is but one:-

A minor, pedantic, correction. The idiots who thought it a good idea to arrest him on those ludicrous charges and make him do this just won him the election.

That the Trump base remains solid is beyond dispute but what matters are the opinions of those beyond them. Those opinions are not as favourable as yours, which are themselves an oddity in the UK. A couple of examples:-

Yep, though Biden is both and a pervert.

Trump is of course unsuitable and like the present stooge just too old.....but thanks to the Democrats they have made it certain he's the only realistic candidate.

The wider point though that America is being run by low quality and incompetent elites...regardless of what party they exist in....has been proven correct for a long time.

The west is in serious decline thanks to these rich clowns.

Nothing in this to disagree with but I am at the stage of just getting in the pop-corn and enjoying the ride! And just the sheer stupidity in allowing Trump to get this mug-shot, is glorious to behold.

They are already selling Trump 'mugshot' memorabilia. This could be the greatest bit of marketing for a Presidential campaign.

Quite literally (and I usually bemoan others for using the expression but in this case I think it is justified) priceless.

There is simply no calculating a monetary value to what they have gifted him.

It'd be fun to see Trump win just to see the media meltdown, Hollywood meltdown and BBC meltdown. It will become tiresome after around a week but fun in the beginning. Won't do anyone any good but will at least be entertaining. Laughing at a senile guy just seems wrong currently - a bit like a freak show from Victorian times.

Doubt that.

It will only appeal to those already convinced that his indictments are all politically motivated and committed Trump supporters. It won’t shift anyone who believes the opposite either. So what will that face say to those in the middle? Not a lot I suspect, but if anything the very fact that a former President has been charged, remanded, and given an inmate number before posting bail will be seen as a disgrace by some.

Right now Trump is having the field to himself. His rhetoric is going politically unchallenged and the other candidates for the nomination are dominated by the need to reassure Republicans that they will pardon him if they get chosen. Which isn’t a very convincing marketing strategy.

Things will change once the real battle starts and the gloves come off. Not from Biden directly but from the Democratic campaign. I remain convinced that Biden doesn’t really intend to stand. I think he will get the nomination and then stand aside citing health concerns. That probably means Harris will be the actual candidate but other possibilities exist, but I expect whoever it is to be younger, female and charismatic. No Democrat would switch to Trump because of Biden’s withdrawal but some undecideds, especially female urban voters, will firm up their intention to vote Democratic.

If I was a betting man I would lump money on Harris or Michelle Obama now. Both offer big odds.

It helps pay his defence costs. The “campaign” funds the gullible idiots who support him by buying this kind of garbage mostly end up in the pockets of lawyers. Which is pretty ironic when he claims to be so wealthy yet isn’t funding the defences of those charged alongside him. Which could easily turn out to be a huge mistake if any of them accept a deal.

It won’t gather more voters from the two major parties. The division is too well established. He can only lose portions of the independent and undecided camp who might not like Biden but see great shame in any former President being indicted. Better abstentions than a vote for Trump.

Can he run for president from a jail cell?
Well apparently in the USA its yes. Internet tells me that “The Constitution has very few requirements to serve as President, such as being at least 35 years of age. It does not bar anyone indicted, or convicted, or even serving jail time, from running as president and winning the presidency,”
Blimey, that would be odd. Running the country from a jail cell. Be a bit like Grouty from Porridge except weirder.

The entire last few year period since mask moment has been about bringing down big pharma or least the vax side of it, human trafficking and implementing a new financial system to reply swift. Hence the $ war going on. But even the WW3 narrative is fake.
