Watched the last 25 minutes last night. He looked completely lost. They have no idea of how to use him and he was walking toward the end of the match (tbf Galatasaray were 4-0 up in the series).

I have a co-worker who is Turkish and a Galatasaray supporter, this is what he texted me about the first match (I laughed):

Like he doesn't belong in this league. Clear difference in quality between him and nearly everyone on the pitch. It's a shame we were terrible yesterday and didn't utilize him properly. He made a couple nice passes and runs but we just didn't know how to take advantage of it

He also nearly got into a fight with someone. Is he usually an aggressive player? He got fouled (was a hard tackle but not dirty or anything) and he got in the guys face and pushed him. I like the energy but hopefully he's not the type to lose focus and get silly cards

Bahaha. Not at all....

Does anybody know why Wilf isn't even on the bench tonight?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

What has Wilf done and why??.

He has halved his salary if you believe clickbait and gone to play half his games in front of a few thousand in the depths of Turkey.

It makes nos sense. Gala will go nowhere in the Champions league.

He would have got far better coverage in the fast growing Saudi league, and x5 his salary, tax free.

Hopefully will now be out long enough to fully mend his body.

It make no sense at all.

Absolutly none, i think his Champions League outings will be very short.

Good, he’s made his bed and now he has to lie in it.

I’m sure he’s regretting it already. How long was his contract for Gala?

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

I don't understand the continued obsession with Zaha. He's gone. He had the chance to see out his career in "the best league in the world" but he chose not to. Good luck to him, but I couldn't care less what happens to him now, and especially not in the s***-hole he's chosen to jump into.

I could well be wrong but I sort of see it as an ego or one track mind thing. I imagine he though ‘I want to play Champions League football, or at least say I have once career over’ panicked and took possibly the only available option

Either way, thus far, his departure has had far less impact on my footballing perspective than I thought. Olise resigning was bigger news as far as I’m concerned and that tells me something. Look to the future not the past.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha in Turkey' by becky

Just curious but I have been looking to see how Zaha is getting on. I looked up the Galatasaray website (what a mess that is!). Apart from seeing his name listed as a player I was unable to see his name in any recent line up (including subs). Is he injured or is he just not being picked?

Always remembering walking from the Holmesdale to the Whitehorse end at half time!
