I supply two bars in NYC, One on 28th & 5th Ave John Doe & their sister pub Jane Doe on 44th & 5th Ave. Great food in both by the way.

Are we suggesting Dodo Doe, John Dodo or just Dodo like a Brazilian footballer? If the latter, I'd put forward Dodinho for the smaller corpses. It's a tricky one. A deceased TV presenter could be referred to as a Dan Do. A deceased singer as a Di Do. Or a deceased citizen of Springfield as a Doh! Do. You start getting into awkward territory if you are a deceased addict of a popular herb. You'd be a Dill Do.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Been on my mind for a while now, but are the terms 'John Doe' and 'Jane Doe' still appropriate in modern society as it assumes the gender identity of a corpse. Should we be thinking about Jo Doe as an option as Jo can be short for Joseph or Joanna? If you'd permit me to stray from a J based replacement, perhaps Alex or Bobbie are also suitable gender unbiased options for mystery cadavers? I read this and my reaction was D'OH!!
