RIP Trevor, if you start from Bert Head, he would be about halfway not awful, but not great, very sad though.
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

What a player he was, we could do with a striker like him today. Shame it didn’t work out for him as a manager with us. This is making me feel old hearing this news. Very sad indeed….

I stand corrected by those with younger better memories than me, but didn’t he sign the two Danny’s, Butterfield and Granville as well? which were two good signings as well I believe you are right and Tommy Black was the player who was benched despite having scored in his previous matches
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

I seem to recall back in the early days of Sky where a Palace League match was only shown every 1/4 century, he scored a hattrick against Crewe (I think, could of made that all up) and secured his place as the 'White Pele' for me My memory is notoriously awful however!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

How sad heart attack apparently. Remember Forest back to back european cup wins under Brian Clough (also died at 69). RIP Trevor For those of us of a certain age, Forest's rise was staggering. Promoted from the 2nd Division, deserved 1st Division champions a year later and European Cup winners a year after that, with TF scoring the only goal of the final. Retained the European Cup a year later, but sadly TF missed out through injury. I'm absolutely stunned and saddened by this shock news.
