I doubt the new stand will happen, but would welcome it if it did.

The dilapidated parts of the stadium should be renovated first.

The club needs to increase revenue and make itself more appealing to players.
Fixing the toilets in the Arthur Waite isn't going to do that.

I'm sure that after the new strand is completed there will be a plan to renovate other parts of the ground, but this takes time and money.
Everyone would like to see the WHL enlarged within the limits of space available, plus the AW could be rebuilt to mirror the main stand, minus its club facilities, which gives it that large footprint, and fit in the existing space, providing it was kept to an acceptable height.

It's always fun to imagine at least.

Palace has spent £30m on its academy over the last few years so money is not an issue.
Improving the toilets in the Arthur Wait will improve the fan experience and is really just a minimum requirement if you are charging £40 plus a ticket.
There are cost effective solutions that wouldn't be expensive. For example the toilets are bottlenecked as there is only one entrance/exit. Creating an additional exit would clearly help.
Adding additional toilets e.g. portacabins to the far left side of the stand/the open bit, would reduce the half time stampede too.

I would say the quality of the toilets is irrelevant to the players.

We should all sing to SP at the next game:

"Do the strand, love....
And the Arthur bogs, love..."

How do you reach that conclusion? I've just spent 26 grand on a new car but that doesn't mean I can now afford another one for over three times as much.

On a scale of 1 to 10, AW 3, Carrow Road away fans section 9 as just one example

The players have nothing to do with the disgrace that is the AW for a club of ten years PL standing.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

?? My comment is regarding improving the toilets om the AW which will cost maybe £50k, less than 0.2% of what we've spent on the academy.

If you've bought a card for £26k it like saying you can no longer afford your weekly food shop.

Maybe you need to re-read my original post.

The fact is the AW facilities are a disgrace and can surely be rectified/partly improved regardless of the new stand build.

I noticed the Arthur was closed for the friendly coming up. Wondered if it was being slightly done up, or has it been condemned as unsafe, lost its certificate or something? It wouldn't seem out of the question.

T

They often don't open it for friendlies.

I was sceptical about this whole new stand malarky but now it's obvious

1 x Guehi + 1 x Joachim+ 1 x Doucoure = One new stand!

Totally agree
New stand looks so out of place

I presumed the idea was do the new stand, then gradually do the rest - at our pace over this millennium or so.

If building the new stand means improving the toilet facilities I'm all in favour.
