I wonder if he thinks he deserves to play for bigger club.

Yeah, as much as I think he's ok I don't want Nketiah.

Hardly played for Arsenal, had the option to come here and be the main man, snubbed it to sit on the bench.

Hardly played at the start of this season. Got his chance when Jesus got injured. Then when Jesus was fit, he;s back on the bench.

But with Havertz signing he's further down the pecking order.

Some players think they are better then they are, and/or are happy sitting on the bench for their entire career. Vs probabely getting the same money to be a main man

I disagree, 100k is not too much for a young striker who has showed he can score in the Premier League, Edouard is on 95k a week, and we know he isn't premier league standard, and if Nelson has any ambition to be a first team player, he needs to leave, maybe somebody needs to have a whisper in their shell like.

He's only a year younger than Edouard. Nketiah has a PL goal every 215 minutes, Edouard every 306 minutes, and one of them is playing for Arsenal. If Arsenal really rated him, they wouldn't have spent £65m on Havertz.

At £20m and 100k/week, I don't see that as an obviously good deal.

They are rating Nketiah higher than Balogun and they are asking 35 mil for him. So theoretically asking more than that for Nketiah. From what I've seen, he'd do well for us. It's interesting when we've been linked before as it takes us so long to identify any new targets, plus often some of the negotiations have been done.
I'm not sure what the contract situations are - I heard Nketiah was offered a contract but didn't hear about him accepting it. Have a feeling they are trying to offload Nelson. Nelson might be a good shout - it's one of those ones waiting on what Wilf does.

Rumours are he's agreed a new 5-year-deal which he'll sign when he returns from holiday. Nketiah signed a new 5-year deal last year (as confirmed by Arsenal).

Is that the same Havertz who gets a goal every 311 mins in the premier league

We’re pretty much arrived at the gate of a mass exodus to Saudi. Average players are able to 5-10 times as much out there after tax. It’s already started. Look at Chelsea. I’m amazed Mateta isn’t going there.

I think he used our interest in January to get a pay increase. Seems more happy to stay at Arsenal as a squad member than Balogun. Probably end up as another Batshuayi

Wouldn't it be nice if clickbait equated to 'the truth'? We really do need another Dazza! Any volunteers?!

I my opinion he will be an outstanding striker who if he goes any premier club and plays will score 15/20 and be in the England squad, i hope its us.

Agreed. If we sell Mateta to Genoa, and (sadly) Geuhi to Spurs or Arsenal , we should be able to bring in a young striker like Nketiah plus a couple of young backs/wing backs, and a cheaper replacement for Geuhi

if we get Holding (3rd CD) in the deal with Nketiah and 20m for Guehi, Nelson can replace Wilf on a free, Richards can be first choice with Andersen, and 20m left to spend, Mateta to Genoa, everyones a winner, all bought players with sell on values.

Only 41 players in the history of the Premier League have hit 20 league goals, and more than half of these were at the big six clubs.

Not necessarily disagreeing with your assessment that Nketiah could be a good signing, but I never get the broader point of 20 goals being the barometer of a good striker... they barely exist in our end of the market.
