Are you crazy? He’s miles off from being suitable to manage in the Premier League. His arguably done well everywhere his been and unfairly sacked. West Brom they were all but mathematically down when he took over and still nearly kept them up. Everywhere else has arguably done very well. A lot worse out there. Defo not my first choice though

Obviously its easy to make assumptions based on the stories main attention grabber - 4 x existing salary - but unless you know how much DM was on during that promotion season, how that compared to the average manager salary in the league that they were playing in, the average salary of the managers in the league they got promoted into & the context of salary discussions that he had with the club during his time with them, its difficult to know whether his demands were reasonable - On the face of it looks like he was overplaying his hand - the reality is that pretty much only DM & the clubs chairman know how true that is - Also - after having apparently agreed between the pair of them to say he left by mutual consent, I am surprised that the Chairman felt the need to make this comment public, unless perhaps he felt that he was being painted as the bad guy in this, needlessly sacking the manager that got them promoted , particularly at a time when there was a lot of focus on the lack of representation of BAME managers / coaches in the game. After having been what the 2 of them must have been through together getting that club promoted I think its sad that there wasn't the possibility of some form of middle ground / compromise solution that both parties could have agreed to.

None of us know but the Chairmans version is plausible. Perhaps he's tidied it up for publication. Certainly not discussing the coaching staff issue whilst the managers position was up in the air was perfectly sensible.
