If, as I expect our players suit it, I would anticipate us playing a 4-2-3-1 next season, so our midfield will be built around Doucoure and Lerma with skilful players playing off of them. If we want Eze in the team every week then there is no room for a really skillled midfielder unless he plays in Zaha’s or Olise’s position. Do you read the situation differently?

I am a bit
worried about Eze, will his Hodgson form remain under a new manager?

Sorry, I forgot to add that everyone is forgetting Ahamada who Roy said looks very good in training and does play in that attacking midfield role. We do have options. It’s at full back and CF where my concerns are now.

Has to earn his spot above Hughes for me. Criminally underrated Hughesy I reckon.

You said none of our midfielder are creative, now your quoting Eze, who happens to play in midfield!

I did NOT say that we have no creative midfielders, i am advocating buying another one!

Whatever happened to Lokonga? Did he just return to Arsenal and that's that? He's not a bad player. Worth a cheeky bid?

You said we don’t have a midfielder that is skilful enough or with the guile to fool a defence.

So, obviously you don’t rate Eze, who has just earned his first England cap.

Eze played brilliantly for ten games under Hodgson, will he play as well under a new manager or revert to his previous form, I don't know ,do you?

Does this mean Schlupp will play LW more? As it currently stands:

Johnstone, Mitchell, Guehi, Andersen, Ward, Eze, Doucoure, Lerma, Schlupp, Ayew, Olise (4-3-3)

or Johnstone, Mitchell, Guehi, Andersen, Ward, Doucoure, Lerma, Schlupp, Eze, Olise, Ayew/Edouard (4-2-3-1)

Lerma is a good signing has the attributes to play as a holding midfielder and a number 8. I know we say this a lot but hopefully something happens and Ayew or Edouard one of them can have a good season and score over 10 goals. I have a feeling one of them could have a decent season. They scored 9 goals between them (EPL) this year surely they can get a combined goals of 16+ minimum next season. With Zaha going Ayew, Edouard will need to step up.

Love the optimism. But I think if we're relying on Ayew and Eduoard for goals, we're in a spot of bother.

I suspect that as we stand Schlupp will be bench and Ayew on the left.

But as much as I don't want him starting Schlupp is a really good option off the bench.
