It's a tricky one as Leicester probably got relegated because they failed to sign a decent centre-back, but on the flipside we could probably get Bella-Kotchap from Saints for less than 20/25m and he looked very good. When we sold AWB we never replaced him and right-back has probably been our weakest position since. I do think we'll sell someone significant though and if it were between Guehi, Olise and Eze I would say Guehi is probably the easier of the three to replace. Personally I think Guehi is a better defender than Andersen and is quicker, but the latter has become such an effective tool due to his incredible passing range.

They signed Faes and Souttar. Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu played a total of 20 PL games between them and Fofana was sold to Chelsea.
Tielemans was a shadow of the player who had graced Leicester in the past.
Vardy only scored 3 PL goals all season having scored 53 in the previous 3 seasons.

Were we not talking Victor Nelson who knows our own Danish CB from the international game? If joaquin says they work well then that covers the hitting-the-ground point.

I think that only Eze, Olise and Andersen are not for sale for under 100m, my opinion only, 60+ for Guehi or Doucoure i would accept, if it is ploughed back into players

100 million each? I think we’d be lucky to get £100m for all 3.

Guehi is decent with Anderson, but no where near 70 million.

I didnt say they were worth 100m, i said that is what i would accept, and Guehi will get 60m at least.

Out of all our players with decent value he is the one I would be most comfortable to leave. Excellent player but can definitely be replaced with possibly better for half of the £60 million the media are valuing him at.

Yep, $70m is a lot of money for a club like ours. Richards appears to be a vary capable defender who could hopefully slot in well. Then reinvest the money on 2 or 3 quality extras.

Guehi is superb, but the dropoff to Chris Richards is not a £60m difference. We could likely bring in a couple of upgrades and/or strengthen the depth of the club.

Take 70m if it were offered, for Guehi, if it was guaranteed to be spent on players, if Wilf goes 200k a week wages between the two, enough for 3 decent players.

Yes!!
Think we already have other options…Richard’s

Hard to know whether there'd be much drop off at all, given Richard's dearth of playing time. I've got a feeling he'd be pretty damn good...

I'm afraid we English pedants are fighting a losing battle. I was in my local town centre (Sutton Coldfield) yesterday and saw that the new shop replacing an Argos store had included under its name the main items they were selling which included "Spa's".

Sadly, it seems the majority of people responsible for signage these days automatically put an apostrophe before the plural "s" of a noun ending in a vowel.

They don't teach English properly these days, of course. As for adjectives, does any other than "f...ing" exist in modern parlance?

Not so sure about that. If he could definitely be bettered for 30m, I think Spurs would save themselves the trouble!

He's great, and has phenomenal potential. Not many centre halves get a game for England at 22.

I don't think any of the mentioned replacements are better, not even close. But an 80% of MG level centre half is still a very good player.
