I'm off to Italy on Sunday for a midday flight from Heathrow.

1. Simple journey to Heathrow via Elizabeth line off due to engineering works on Thames link (no service) and only 2 trains per hour on Liz line.

2. Flight maybe delayed due to to striking French air traffic controllers impacting overflights of French territory.

3. It's a train holiday but the Italians have been striking so unsure if this will impact my holiday.

4. Day I come back is the first day of the Heathrow security strikes.

All in all your typical summer holiday, dread, uncertainty, delays etc.

Good luck with your passport.

Security strikes should not impact you as an inbound passenger.

I hear HM coastguards are operating a pick-up service from The Channel, if you have difficulty on your return journey
And you won't even need a passport for that
