It clearly went str8 over my head - I had read the original article on one of the sports apps (M1 - M40) & didnt recognise that the original post on here had veered away from it (M1-M23 / 25)

Im getting old - pretty much my only excuse these days.

And that's the reason you're up at 6.30am! Note I left it a while to respond.
Anyone give a toss who wins this game?

Got to be City, any palace fan who wants United needs to give their head a wobble, what ever that means

The obligatory joke penalty for United. Terrible decision.

I've been trying to listen to the match while doing my (driving) job, but the BBC R5 reception was bloody awful. It reminded me of struggling to listen to Radio Caroline or Luxembourg in the 1960s.

Anyway, from what I could gather City made hard work of it and nearly blew it in "Fergie time". I agree that the penalty sounds like a "joke" albeit apparently correctly awarded in accordance with the current farcical interpretation of what is or isn't an offence.

I know that spectators throwing things at players is unacceptable, but why oh why did the Man Utd goalscorer see fit - on one of the biggest occasions in football - to celebrate by goading the Man City fans, including giving it the ubiquitous and ridiculous cupped ear gesture? Is it not possible for a footballer simply to celebrate with his teammates any more, or by facing his own fans if they are nearby?

Imagine a tennis player winning a set and turning to their opponent's fans to 'give it large'.

I really don't watch Nick Kyrgios that much.
