To many supporters he is a 'Legend' but Mark Bright is never mentioned in this esteemed category when in terms of goals scored they are not too far apart.

Their respective scoring records at our club, in all competitions :
Ian Wright - Played 277, goals 118
Mark Bright - Played 286, goals 114

Well pointed out Willo. Wright was more explosive and exciting to watch but Bright was just as important to our front line.

And he has kept the love for us, so choose your legend.

I respect Wright for what he did while at Palace.

It ends there.

He was before my time as a palace supporter so I don't care about him at all and don't associate him with palace other than some old goals I've seen and people mention the bright and wright era.

Morrison, freedman and AJ were more my time.

Only watched the Palace “highlights” and comments. MrWright looked and sounded totally disinterested. Needs to get over his mate’s departure.
Having said that I am on the side of the grateful for what he did for Palace

I just watched that bit of MOTD too. Lineker introduced the Palace/Forest highlights with an air of "I suppose we've got to show this now, so let's get it over with". Then Wright - I go further than your "disinterested". His body language clearly betrayed his contempt, particularly in the way he kept throwing his arms outwards as though shrugging while talking about Roy or the club. Appalling.

I do question why Wright - and Shearer - remain relevant to modern-day punditry. They haven't played the game for ages and they don't appear to me to have any particular insight. Add their bias and favouritism and it's not a great look.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Oh do bore off, not this again!! Love him or hate him now, he’s a palace legend who gave those of us who were there at the time great memories, so I still love the bloke and he’s entitled to his opinion.

Why does he only use the one Wright instead of the three in his real surname?

Super player for us, but as a person - not so much.
Had the misfortune to meet Ian Wright a couple of times. He is an a-hole.

One of my all time Palace favourites so I get quite pissed off when he keeps referring to us as ‘them’ and Arsenal as ‘we’. If we were at the top end of the league would we then become we?

Never heard a dickie bird from him, thankfully, when we were in the Championship.
Always introduced as ex-Arsenal legend (& media whore), which would have been impossible without Palace !!
As a senior steward working at Highbury that night when he kissed his Arsenal badge, he almost caused significant crowd problems.
Serial grizzler, I remember another incident when a steward. After a game in the Second against Sunderland where he had missed a penalty, one of the other stewards, in jest, asked him 'to talk me through it'. He complained & all the stewards were henceforth banned from the bar.
A real pity the other week when Lineker got all precious that he didn't go through with his threat to leave the Biased Broadcasting Corporation.
