Leeds are in termoil on the pitch and given their precarious position i can see why they have made a change. However, 4 games is such a short period it might not be possible to avoid the drop. In the past one of big Sam's strengths is his ability to strengthen key areas with better players. He is not going to be able to do this via the transfer window so unless Gracia has not been picking the best 11 players at Leeds this will not be an easy job for Sam. Leeds were one of the teams i thought would go down at the start of the season on the back of selling Kalvin Phillips to Man City and Raphina to Barcelona and not really strengthening their squad and i still think they will go down.

Leeds problem is leaking goals if he can tighten up the defence they might have a chance.

I wonder what is harder for a new manager to stop conceding goals or scoring more goals.

i reckon Big Sam's strength is organising a good defence. 'Respect the point' and all that.

Leeds will certainly be better with Sam. The big question for big Sam : is it better enough ?

Javi Gracia has defended his record at Leeds, 11 pts from 11 games more than attained by some of the other clubs in the relegation struggle over the same amount of games.

In actual fact when Gracia joined Leeds they were 19th, he departed with them in 17th place.
The fact that Leeds were defeated in 4 of their last 5 games conceding 18 goals in the process was probably the reason he was dismissed.

In Allardyce's 25 PL games in charge at WBA they only kept 4 'Clean sheets'.
WBA conceded 53 goals in those 25 games.
WBA were 19th when he joined them after 13 games and they ended the season in 19th place.

i've read he's negotiated a £2.5m staying up bonus. For 4 weeks work!

Leeds are almost dead in the water so if he can keep them in the Premier League it's worth over £100m to Leeds so £2.5m to the man who performed the miracle is comparatively cheap

It has been reported that Allardyce will receive £500K for the 4 games and a £2.5 Mill bonus if Leeds survive the dreaded drop.

It wouldn't matter if the offer him 25m, they are going down, along with Everton and obviously Southampton
