Depends on what permutation the manager goes for. If we play

Guaita
Richards, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell
Olise, Eze, Doucoure, Schlupp
Mateta, Edouard

we can win.

We won't and we won't.

There is no way Edouard and Mateta will start together with Ayew and Zaha on the bench.

I’m interested to know “Al” do you go to any games ? Or you just sit at your mums computer with a Brighton or Millwall scarf behind you ? Your really P1ssing me off now
How your still allowed on this site when everyone knows your a complete troll I will never know

“This is a crisis, a large crisis.... in fact if you have a moment, it’s a 12 storey crisis, magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24 hour portage , and an enormous sign on the roof saying “This , is a large crisis” - Edmund Blackadder

Given our last two results and the initial line up last night, it’s hard to call. It took Roy an hour to accept his midfield gamble wasn’t working. As to why he changed it is another debate.
We must play on the front foot - from the first whistle - and get at their back four which can be flakey. If Wilf is fit n he puts him up top with Ayew n Olise (if not give Mateta a try) n reverts to the previous midfield including Doucoure’ et al, I’d say we will win by 2 clear goal...2-0 or 3-1.

But then pigs might fly!

Tough to call this one . We have dropped off a bit but that includes the midweek experiment which can be dissmissed as unlucky anyway . WH seem to have found a bit of form but then they have been playing dross of late with one noteable exception with the comeback draw v the league leaders who themselves have melted with the winning post in sight .

Confusing all round trying to pick a winner in most games on the coupon such is the in and out form of most teams

But we are due one at Selhurst 3-0 Palace .

Its not over yet Eddie. But I suspect we'll stay up and yes that means he would have don't his job. But those calling for him to get it permanently after the 3rd game, might think twice after a couple more average performances.

But IMO it always felt a bit weak talking about survival. 12th position with a decent squad and 10 'winnable games'. Just felt a bit like self preservation.

Roy's bubble has burst, we'll limp over the line and we'll all remember how painful it can be

The West Ham game will help define Hodgson's reappointment. First few games new manager bounce and opponents in our half of the table, points on the board albeit a tad fortuitously, but nevertheless important points. Last game back into the zone of caution and square pegs in round holes resulting in a loss.
I'm not sure which Roy will turn up for the West Ham game, and so I'm finding this one most difficult to predict.

Good lord, that's a terrible team. Hope we don't line up like that.

Johnstone has earned his spot as our #1.
Richards isn't a right back (he just about said so himself).
Eze can't play in a midfield two.
Neither Eduoard or Mateta are good enough to drop in in a 442 formation if we need them to.
Ayew has been player of the month so far. Why drop him.
