Really, best chairman we have ever had, and if you knew anything about palace you would know that While I agree with the above, I think there are two points here that it ignores: 1. The fact that Parish is the best chairman we've ever had says as much about the low quality of his predecessors as it does about him. That's not a direct criticism, but frankly, it hasn't taken a lot to exceed their level of performance. 2. More importantly, being the best doesn't absolve you from criticism. Pointing out someone's shortcomings/failures doesn't implicitly suggest you think they've achieved nothing. At least so far as I can see, the Old Stand rebuild has, thus far, cost a lot of money for no return. That may change if and when construction starts but for now, the jury is out.

The cynicism surrounding the new stand is very odd. Parish has been transparent about the situation in a recent update. It has been delayed by COVID and is the process is close to being concluded so that work can begin. Whether this happens sooner or later, there is no way that Parish will leave this club without this project being completed. The club has to increase revenue and modernize its match day experience. There is no option to stand still.

What about redeveloping SP as housing and building a new stadium in the centre of Croydon.....I can't think of a suitable site!

Do you not think that if a suitable site was available in the general area that we would not be grabbing it with both hands? As someone who now lives miles away, I was wholeheartedly in favour of a new stadium in a new location, but I suspect that I am not in a majority. Moving away from South Norwood is very appealing to me in itself, but not to those who live very locally or use public transport.

Unfortunately one of the ways that will be considered to increase revenue will be a general increase in ticket prices. Fulham fans are probably less excited about their new stand with the knowledge that season ticket prices have gone up by 18% in the rest of the stadium. Progress comes at a price, and we will be the ones funding it. Originally posted by Hrolf The Ganger

Up it pops again. Not the stand, obviously, but the thread.
