Like Zaha he has the habit of trying to beat one player too many and needs to look up at the options around him. Undoubtedly skilful though and I'd be surprised if he's not part of the 25 squad next season.

He had a chastening experience yesterday, playing in the Charlton side thumped 6-0 at Ipswich. He'll need a saki or two after that!

Watching the clips (which I know are highlights) he looks fearless and doesn’t seem to get fouled much. Which surprises me in the lower leagues they tend to be little more robust shall we say in challenges. Maybe he’s too quick for them.

See that Charlton will finish their league matches before us and are unlikely to be in the playoffs for promotion. Would he and others on loan be able to play in our last couple of matches?

That's an interesting point. I don't see why he couldn't play for us, even if his loan deal hasn't fully expired after Charltons last game the lending club can usually call their player back if they need him anyway. I can't pretend to have watched Rak-Sahki at Charlton any more than I can pretend to have watched Kirby, Street or any of the other lads we've had out on loan in recent years, but unlike midfielders and defenders a goalscoring forward can, at least to some extent, be judged from a distance on how many goals he scores. On that front I can't think of many loanees to have made a better case for themselves than Rak-Sahki has. My only reservation (aside from the obvious concern that the Premier league is a different kettle of fish to league one altogether) is that Rak-Sahki seems to be a left footed inside-right, and so is perhaps competing with Olise for a place in the team. If he were a left winger his chances of getting a run in our side would be far higher, post-Zaha. I'm sure a good coach could fit Eze, Olise and Rak-Sahki in the same side somehow if all three are deserving of first choice status, but it always helps a youngster get games if there is an obvious job vacancy they are qualified for. If I were running Palace I'd be asking Charlton to play Rak-Sahki on the left for the rest of the season and see how he adapts.

Really hope that we start next season with him in the squad and that he gets some game time. He's had a fantastic season, and even allowing for the fact it is League 1, surely if we don't give him a chance after this, what hope is there for our other academy graduates? Far better give him a chance than buying a youngster from another team like Ebiowei or Plange and then just loaning them out!

It's Rak-Sakyi Dave before anyone else says it. I still have the Jonny Williams fear within me of overhyping our young players so staying quiet on this one but does look to be going well so far. I saw John Bostock playing the other day in the lower leagues and believe he should serve as the example for many in navigating their career. Just heard he's playing in Nation League play off final right this minute. Didn't realise he was at Notts County.
