I agree, it didn’t bother me that our game wasn’t first, Liverpool v Arsenal was a great game as well.

As for Wright, I was a little disappointed but considering he is friends with Vieira and is an emotional guy more so than professional it’s no surprise his response.

Nothing can spoil the feel good factor right now for us Palace fans anyway

Interesting reading eze comments about half time instructions being clear and helping. I like Vieira but even last season I was not impressed with his tactical decisions. Wright can say what he wants, Roy and Ray are a better motivation and management team

Cheer up. We're not owed anything by MOTD.

Leeds Palace was huge to me.

Liverpool Arsenal was bigger to the wider world.

What stuck in my gullet was when Wright continually used the word "we" rather than Arsenal.

He may be an Arsenal fan, and I know fans regularly say "we" when referring to their team, BUT I don't find this acceptable from a pundit who is surely employed to view things objectively and to be impartial.

The points that annoyed me was Wright stating that in the first half Palace had no plan or pattern to their play and had no idea what their plan was. The fact was as expected Leeds gave us little time on the ball. He made it quite clear that our victories could have been achieved with PV at the helm this shows he has not watched many of our games . Totally dismissive of Roy and indicated that we have gone backwards in sacking PV.
Clearly a mate of PV but to talk so dismissively about Palace was disappointing COYP

I know I shouldn’t get involved in threads like this because it winds me up, but anyone slagging off one of our greatest players is the tosser. He has every right to be proud of his Arsenal career and if he doesn’t get overly excited about palace, so what? He gave me 6 great years ending up as part of our best ever team, so for the memories I think I can forgive him, and I’m sure anyone who was actually around at the time would feel the same.
As for that bellend who says few realise he played for Palace, well yes, maybe if you live under a rock in Brazil

He was possibly around PV’s for brunch & after seeing both results he won’t talk about the turn around in confidence

I liked PV in what he had done for Palace we all did.

Yet he choose to sack Derry who himself felt compelled to speak up.

But it sounds like PV & go just could not pick up the key to the confidence room

& step up the training regime.

But who knows what results we would have got last two games he stayed on - Ian Wright might know he has ALL the answers

Forever Palace Proud

He won the PL and the FA Cup whilst at Arsenal and I believe he was top scorer at Arsenal for a few seasons in succession.

And the League Cup and the European Cup-Winners Cup.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Didn't he start at Millwall and I think he even used to go to watch them, he was given his big opportunity with us because quite a few teams didn't think he'd make it so of course he has a soft spot for us for that reason but if a player leaves with bad taste aimed at personal members of ones family then it is obviously going to have a detrimental effect as well, I watched it last night and thought he sounded quite complementary of our play ..I too feel quite upset about Vieira and our treatment of him and no one can say for sure how the season would've panned out if we kept him. Alan Shearer is always talking about his Newcastle the same as Lineker with Leicester.

The illness affects most BBC output. Premier League reports on teletext were just two pages of Liverpool v Arsenal - no mention of Palace.

how many do Palace need to score against Southampton to be first match next Saturday?

Have I travelled back in time?

But facts remain that PV,and his clueless coaching team were out of their depth.
Would be great to see PV,appointed at Leicester to guarantee their relegation,or at Forest where Cooper's tenure apparently,is on a knife edge.
